So I saw Iron Man 2 last night. Great movie. But this thread is going to be devoted to a trailer I saw: Super 8. Before I get started, let me go into details about the director/producer/etc...
Movie: Super 8
Director: J. J. Abrams (he also directed Star Trek, and produced Cloverfield/Lost [t.v. show])
Producer: Steven Spielberg
Distributed by: Paramount and Bad Robot. Surprising its not affiliated with Dreamworks, because of Steven Spielberg's affiliation with this movie.
Other information:
It is known that this is NOT a Cloverfield sequel. This is a movie set in around 1979, and is speculated to be a tribute to older Steven Spielberg alien type movies.
So lets get started. First, you need to watch the trailer before I can go into too much detail.
Now since I know J. J. Abrams, he is one for viral marketing. So I knew he hid some secrets in this trailer to scare the shit out of some of us, and excite the rest of us.
The following "easter eggs" were found by myself, or seen first on unfiction.com or super8news.com.
At the end of the trailer is when most of the hidden things take place. Right when the "cargo" (the object in the train will be referred to as "cargo") looks like is about to break out, and the screen zooms out and looks from the POV of an old fashioned camera. Lets start here.
This is around the last frame of the train from the normal perspective. A few frames later:
A few frames later it starts changing. This doesn't look like much, but very much could be (probably not though).
After that, there is an interesting frame. It is obviously a face. This is the clearest frame of the face.
Cool huh? Lets move on. The very next frame, there is an image of what appears to be the train, wrecked. All of these frames change a little bit. There is very little to make of these. Most of these aren't very necessary, but its a slow day today so I will post them all.
Some people speculate that you can see an "organic" (living) thing near the middle of the screen. But doubtful.
Tiny differences there. Now for (what I think is) the most interesting part of the ENTIRE trailer. Directly after the last image, there appears to be random characters. NOT random. Lets go into this.
This one is an inverted S

This spells out: scariestthingieversaw: Scariest Thing I Ever Saw
Proof? I just did this:
Now, what is interesting about that? You may think, kinda cool but not really relevant. It is.
The domain www.scariesthingieversaw.com was registered a week after the movies official website (http://super8-movie.com/), and it was registered by the same company.
If you follow the prompts, you eventually get here:
According to slashfilm, if you try to print all pages, you get this response:
Stop posting publicly. I can answer your questions.
I have proof.
>>>>
Although I have never been able to duplicate this response.
Now, referring back to this image:
You see the line "D. Morris 05-FEB-77" near the top. Someone dug up this name, and got this result:
Dan Morris is a retired Air Force career Master Sergeant who was involved in the extraterrestrial projects for many years. After leaving the Air Force, he was recruited into the super-secret National Reconnaissance Organization, or NRO, during which time he worked specifically on extraterrestrial-connected operations. He had a cosmic top-secret clearance (38 levels above top secret) which, he states, no U.S. president, to his knowledge, has ever held. In his testimony, he talks of assassinations committed by the NSA; he tells how our military deliberately caused the 1947 ET craft crashes near Roswell, and captured one of the ETs, which they kept at Los Alamos for 3 years, until he died. He talks about the intelligence teams that were charged with intimidating, discrediting, and even eliminating witnesses to ET/UFO events. He talks about Germany’s re-engineering of UFOs, even prior to WWII. He talks about our current energy crisis — and the fact that we haven’t needed fossil fuels since the 1940s, when free energy technologies were developed — but have been kept from humanity. This is the real reason for the secrecy of the ET/UFO subject. “What the people in power right now don’t want us to know is that this free energy is available to everybody.” In conclusion, he warns against the weaponization of space and the shooting down of ET craft — this could force them to retaliate, and that would be our destruction.
Very interesting.
Now that I have covered the end of the trailer, I will go over any other interesting facts elsewhere in the trailer. NOTE: All of this information was gained from the last FEW SECONDS of the trailer. Pretty creative, huh?
Reserved for second post.
-------------------
The car that crashed into the train, has a particular license plate.
The license plate appears to be an Ohio plate with the numbers “E 6425K”. Seeing as how it’s an Ohio plate this could mean that our train crash took place on the last leg of it’s journey from Area 51 to Ohio.
Credist to AzureWolf at unfiction for this:
“These baseplates were used from the end of 1975 through the end of 1980. These were the last Ohio plates to use the complex numbering system and county codes that had been in place since the mid-30’s.”
The black stub in the corner is the separate month and year sticker which they began issuing in 1980.
Now another part of the trailer is hard to REALLY notice at first, but it is still important.
The radio transmission is is interpreted as follows: ***** means I have no idea what is being said. Any help here?
Starts at 0:15 (Apple trailer). --"Groom Lake One, Wright Patt. *******. SITREP. ETA. Over."
--"Wright Patt, Groom Lake One actual. Cargo intact. ETA: On schedule."
--"Copy Groom Lake One, expect..."
--"OH MY GOD!"
Ends at 0:37
Then the crash happens. That is the only voice communication in this trailer (so far discovered).
Some interesting information about the communication:
Wright Patt is referring to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, located in Ohio, almost guaranteed to be the final destination.
Groom Lake One appears to be the code name of the train. Groom Lake is a lake located near the actual Area 51 Base.
That is all that can be gained from the communication.
Now for the train wreck:
There appears to be a PDP-11 Computer Terminal (the computer we "remotely" access when we go to scariestthingieversaw.com) sitting in the debris of the train wreck.
That is all I have for now, relating to the trailer. I will post updates when I find something.
-------------------------
This goes 100% to http://www.super8news.com/, although I re-wrote it to make it easier to understand (in my opinion).
I can confirm that this is true.
After you go through the prompts on scariestthingieversaw.com, you get to the part asks for commands. Some suggested commands are .EXEC, .COMT, etc... The only commands that work are .REENTER (which restarts the entire process to the beginning), and .PRINT. If you type ".PRINT RSCOM8", a printer dialog comes up. This will actually print papers out of your printer. When you print, you get these files:
These newspaper articles lead us two different directions.
The first thing that looked a little out of place on the first page (with the rocket poppeteers) are the hard dark lines through the ad as well as the 2 little X’s on the page. Now if you look at the 2nd clipping you will see that it also has 2 little X’s… that’s not a coincidence. The X’s will line up with each other if you flip the first page 180 degrees (upside down). What we have is a key to a code. You see this a lot in people trying to get a message to someone in secret, one piece of paper or whatever will have random cutouts and you hold that piece of paper up to a certain book page (or in this case newspaper) and it will reveal a secret message. So basically the hard dark lines on the first page are underlining words on the second page, so if you printed them out you can cut little rectangles above each of those lines to get the message, or, since we have computers these days, you can just flip the one in photoshop and “cut out” the lines that way… which is what I did for you guys.
This first image is just the 1st article flipped 180 degrees with the X’s lined up and highlighted so you can see that they do line up.
And this next image is the “cutouts” above the underlines in the key where you can see that the message spells out “No certainty if a live may be after us We go underground”. Now my interpretation of this would be more like “No certainty if alive, [it/they] may be after us, we go underground”. So it sounds like someone isn’t sure if something/someone is alive and if it is alive it may be coming coming after them so they are going underground. I’m not sure if “underground” means literally under the ground or just off the grid, which seems more likely to me.
Captain “Coop” Cooper, as the caption to the picture in the ad says, is none other than Gordon Cooper, he has had some strange encounters with UFO’s in his time and until the day he died, swore that the US was covering up things regarding UFO’s. It’s also kind of interesting that the anniversary of the date he was launched into space is May 15th… which some people though was the original day the countdown would end, but maybe it’ll be the day that the Rocket Poppeteers website opens for business. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Cooper
Thats all for now!

Edit:
I combined all the letters together, so you can see for yourself its not just bull shit.

I saw Iron Man 2 the first week it came out and my friend and I were really intrigued with the entire trailer when we saw it. But my suspicions were correct, totally knew it was going to be an alien flick. Never thought anyone would put this much thought into cracking the trailer... Or even the fact that there was a hidden message to begin with. x]
The fact is, I love J. J. Abrams. Not LOVE, but love his movies. I was really excited with this trailer. So I looked into things. I did a little bit of this, but most of it was inspired by unfiction and super8news. And those letters are in there. I am putting them together into one image so you can see it easier, right now.
BTW: UPDATED, with some other cool things.
