This group is for anyone in the Seattle who supports Sea Shepherd's activities. 



The Japanese, Icelandic, Danish, and Norwegian whalers kill hundreds of whales each year in our oceans. In 1986, the International Whaling Commission (IWC) enacted a moratorium on all commercial whaling. Since then, these nations have brutally slaughtered over 25,000 whales under the guise of scientific research or "tradition" and for commercial purposes. The IWC does not have the capacity to enforce the moratorium. Sea Shepherd, guided by the United Nations World Charter for Nature, is the only organization whose has taken the lead in enforcement of these international conservation regulations on the high seas.

The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society cannot do this without the help of dedicated volunteers who care deeply for these majestic and awe-inspiring creatures of the deep. Promoting Peace Within Our Oceans is our aim and putting an end to whaling is our game.
