Now let's get this deal straight. This piano plays. No, it's not a concert grand, however, there are no broken strings, and all the hammers are working. The dampning felts are passed it, and the strings do not damp fully, but hey!! ..... You could take this piano away for $2. In the meantime, dah, dah, daaah!! I figured on a bit of fun. There must be over a hundred things to do with an old piano that I have no need for. And while we wait for someone to pick up this bargain... make your suggestion for it's future! It is a Spencer of London, and the best of advice I have received over the years, puts it pre-1900. Yes, it is well over 100 years upright! So let's get started. 1) You could give it to your grandchild to see if they are the next virtuoso pianist. Saves splashing out on a fancy keyboard, to find it under the bed gathering dust in 2 years time. 2) You could donate it to a school for their next gala - Piano Smashing Record attempt. Yes!!! 3) You could break it up for fire wood. 4) You could take up playing sad honky-tonk country songs in a saloon bar! Get the idea?? So, add yours and let's get our 15 minutes of fame. Incidentally, the candle holders and inlaid front sound-board are collectable.

I've moved this piano with me for 30-odd years, I have never seen wood dust on the floor under it. I presume it has been treated. 8:46 pm, Thu 12 May
