春の博麗神社は、いつものように桜を咲かせていた。
結局、まだ幻想郷中の花は咲いたままである。

Over at the Hakurei Shrine, the cherry blossoms bloomed as always in springtime.
In the end however, the flowers throughout Gensokyo still continued to bloom.

あー、何か掃いても掃いてもキリがないわ。
桜が咲くのは良いけど、花びらを散らさなければもっと良い
のにねぇ……

三途の川の死神も地獄の閻魔様も、幻想郷の花を元に戻す事は出来
なかった。結局まだ幻想郷の花は咲いたままである。
だが、もう巫女は焦ったりしない。

The shinigami of the Sanzu River and Enma-sama were unable
to return Gensokyo's flowers back to normal. In the end,
the flowers of Gensokyo continued to bloom.
However, the shrine maiden was no longer impatient.

異常に咲いた花は、幽霊が三途の川を渡る度に減っていく。
明るい性格の人間が咲かせた向日葵も、
寂しい性格の人間が咲かせた彼岸花も、
そして罪を犯した者が咲かせた紫の桜も……

Ultimately, the abnormal flowers will decrease as the ghosts cross the Sanzu River.
The sunflowers bloomed by humans with cheerful personalities,
The higanbana bloomed by humans with sad personalities,
And the violet cherry blossoms bloomed by those who committed acts of sin...

外の世界が正常に戻れば、無縁の幽霊の量も自然と減っていく。
外の人間が見た幻の彼岸は、幻想の此岸へと戻ろうとしていた。

湖の白さと木の緑と相まって、紅色が映える。
しかし、薔薇の分だけ紅が強すぎるかもしれない。

At the Scarlet Devil Mansion, a mansion whose color resembles that of a blood-colored rose.
Currently, the flowers corruptly bloomed throughout Gensokyo, and this place was no exception.

grasp, it didn't feel dangerous from the start, and she didn't think she should look too deep into it.

生命力を感じる今回の異変は、冥界まで及ぶことは無かったのだ。

Gensokyo was still in full bloom, but the season of the cherry blossoms had passed.

また閻魔様は、霊が持つ罪の重さに応じて死後の世界を決める。
地獄へ行くか、天界へ行くか、はたまた冥界に行くか……

The Netherworld is a place for ghosts to temporarily stay if they are permitted to do so.
Ghosts who don't die in peace either go astray or hold onto their attachment to life.
Enma-sama decides what world a ghost goes in its afterlife, according to the weight of its sins.
Whether it goes to hell, heaven, or the Netherworld...

妖夢の剣は霊の迷いを断ってしまう。すなわち成仏に当たるのだ。
つまり、閻魔様に裁かれる前に斬ってしまうと、罪を抱えた者も
天界に行ってしまう。
だから、この世の幽霊は斬らない方が良いと言ったのだ。

Youmu would abruptly cut off the ghosts' wandering. That is, she'd bring them to a peaceful death.
In other words, if a ghost were to be cut down by her sword,
before it gets judged by Enma-sama, then even one that embraces sin could end up in heaven.

永遠亭は静かに花を見守っていた。
未だ、幻想郷の花は咲いたままであったが、美しさと実害のなさに
もう放っておいても良いか、という気分で一杯だった。

The bamboo flowers that bloom once every 60 years have chaotically bloomed,
And Eientei quietly watched over them.
The flowers of Gensokyo still continued to bloom, but they were beautiful, rather than dangerous,
So she felt that it was fine to just leave them alone.

で、野生の鈴蘭が生えている丘があったと

そうなんです。
野生の鈴蘭は非常に毒性が強く、長時間その場に居られない
位でした

涼しく、これほど快適に向日葵を楽しめるのならば、花はこのまま

This is a new piece, and it's a eulogy to the cycle of death and rebirth!

向日葵の幽霊はこれでも幽霊かという位、盛り上がっていた。
人間は桜の下に集まり、そして騒ぐ。
だが、本来桜は罪の重さと儚さを意味する花なのだ。
向日葵ほど、騒々しさが似合う花もあるまい。

The ghosts in the sunflowers had gotten excited as ghosts could get.
Humans would normally gather under the cherry blossoms and make noise.
However, the cherry blossom is a flower that essentially signified the weight and absence of sin.
The sunflower would be a suitable flower for noisy behavior as well.

騒いでいるときが一番存在を実感できた。
騒霊は、騒いでいないと消えてしまうのかも知れない。

ではその騒霊の存在理由とは一体何か

When they made noise, they felt most strongly about their existence.
The poltergeists might disappear if they didn't make any noise.

As for the reason why the poltergeists exist,

それは物にも霊が宿ると言うことを、鈍感な人間にも教えるという
事なのだ。
その証拠に向日葵が彼女たちの演奏に合わせてその体を揺らす。

They exist to inform even the most dim-witted of humans of the fact
that ghosts can even dwell inside of objects.
As proof, the bodies of the sunflowers sway along with the poltergeists' concert.

向日葵には陽気な霊が宿り、彼女たちの演奏を聴いているのだ。
向日葵だけじゃない。鈴蘭も桜も彼岸花も、全て霊が宿っていた。
だから、彼女たちはこれから演奏行脚に出ようと考えていた。

It isn't just the sunflowers. Even the suzuran and higanbana

今現在、幻想郷中の花は咲きたい放題咲いている。
勿論、神社の桜も例外ではない。
これだけ桜が咲いた神社で行われることと言えば……

Currently, the flowers throughout Gensokyo are blooming as much as they can bloom.

ミスティアは誰かに聞いた話だと思ったが、何処で誰に聞いたのか
は思い出せなかった。
そう、彼女は非常に忘れっぽい。
彼女に説教は、殆ど意味をなしていなかった。

she heard it or who told her.
Yes, she is extraordinarily forgetful.
For the most part, the meaning behind the preaching she was given didn't sink in.

だから、彼女は花を見ては騒ぎ、歌を歌った。
しかし、閻魔様の説教も全く無駄というわけではなく、神社の花見
に乱入したのも説教のお陰である。
乱入した時点で目的を殆ど忘れてしまったが……

Thus, she still made noise while watching the flowers, and continued to sing songs.
However, that is not to say Enma-sama's preaching was an utter waste, as her trespassing
of the shrine's flower viewing party was also thanks to the preaching.
Although she mostly forgot her purpose for being there by the time she trespassed...

選んだ曲は鎮魂歌だったのである。
驚くべき事に、彼女は初めて歌に明確な目的を込めた。

Eientei lies deep within that bamboo grove.

この竹林でも迷わずに永遠亭に辿り着ける者は、
余程幸運な者か、それとも月の眼を持った者ぐらいだろう。

Is either one who's quite lucky, or is one who possesses the eyes of the moon.

出来る霊なんて居ない。
まず、閻魔様はどんな些細なことであろうともそこを注意する。

It is rumored that there isn't a soul who can go through Enma-sama's judgment
without receiving a tongue-lashing.
