I spent the past 2 days at Miami, specifically at South Beach. And now I'm right in the heart of New York City, Times Square! The feeling is simply awesome. I can't find any other word to describe my feeling right now. Just a week ago, I was still working at Richmond, VA, which I was glad to leave. The next moment I met Yangwen at Disney World and spent 4 splendid days there. Next, I was at Miami, chilling away at South Beach and had Mikey and her hubby to host us. And now, I'm in New York and I'm lovin' it! We just caught Phantom of the Opera, and met up with the rest of the WAT folks here at New York and walked around Time Square together.

It's been a whirl of activities and it will continue to be the next few days! There's simply so much to see and do and I can't wait to devour all of nyc! More updates and pics will come soon!

Disney World - Happiest Celebration on Earth!

I'm now at Orlando, Florida and the 4 of us who're travelling together spent the past 2 days at Disney World. We've been to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Epcot, and will be spending our Monday at Disney's MGM studio. Disney World is really awesome and splendid.
Countless times when we're on the rides, shows, parades, and fireworks, we were either terribly touched, awed or thrilled by all the tweeny weeny bits of details, that together made the entire experience so magical and awesome! You really gotta take a look at my flickr to understand how much fun we had! and even then, the pictures can't justify the beauty and awe of the entire Disney World!

I really gotta thanks Yangwen for this! Thanks girl!! You really made our summer holiday sooo much more enjoyable by letting us enjoy the magic of Disney World for 3 days free! Haha yes, we had 3 free days of complimentary entries into the 4 theme parks and even then we felt it wasn't enough. Really glad we can catch up at Orlando, and hopefully at New York City as well! Oooh so exciting! =)

Farewells

We've been bidding farewells to a lot of friends the past few days. It's a mixture of feelings for the rest of us still at VCU dorm. I'm excited about my upcoming trip! but at the same time I can't help but miss these awesome friends who have worked and lived together for the past 3 months together. We've all grown to be like one gigantic family, having potlucks, snapping pics like mad using self-timers, gossiping, staying up for nothing till the wee hours, skipping work together just to watch the world cup or simply to slack our days away, discussing about how we can meet up with one another at New York/Boston/San Fran/Las Vagas/Taipei... The list goes on and on and on...

I'll be meeting up with Yangwen at Disneyworld Orlando next week and I'm terribly grateful to her cos' she can bring us in for free! How cool is that! And my collegue Mikerlenda - the most wonderfuly girl who's from Haiti living now in the States, is going to host me at Miami! Its a terribly nice feeling to be meeting up and catching up with friends at different places around the world!

I'll be looking forward to meeting up with the WAT folks at Taipei come early Aug! We'll finally get to taste good Chinese food, sing KTV together and shop!

Summer for me has never been better. :)

Happy Independence Day!

I spend my birthday as Independence Day in Raleigh, North Carolina this year. Qinghan, Jean, Yovo and I came down from Richmond to Raleigh together with Austin to catch a rock concert. The concert was awesome, and I really like Journey's songs now. Zep Leppard was great too. I was never really a fan of classic rock, but I guess I am sorta one now!

There was fireworks too. In fact, everywhere in the states people are putting up fireworks to celebrate 4th July. Its kinda cool to see how the Americans are so keen in celebrating their Indepedence Day. And of course it was simply great to witness nice fireworks lying down on a lawn and just chilling away.

I'm 7,305 days old now. Don't feel any different from yesterday, just that I'm no longer a teen. Qinghan was just asking me what's my birthday wish. I guess it would simply be that I'll always have my family and friends' love and concern for me on every birthday! I was so happy to see the simple card that my family scan and emailed to me. Such a small act but it certainly brightens up my day :)

The day I skipped work (again!)

World Cup comes by only once in 4 years, and so with this thought in mind, I skipped work today together with some other guys! We finally caught a baseball match today too. I don't really understand how the game works but it's cool cos' I managed to get a baseball that came flying my way! Austin was saying that ZK and were really lucky cos' he's been to more than a hundred baseball matches and he had never catch a single one. So yea, I am lucky!

July's finally here! I'll be heading to Raleigh, North Carolina on 4 and 5 July, to catch a Journey + Def Leppard concert, and to get away from work on my birthday! And soon, 20 July will come and I'll be at seeing Yangwen at Disney World, sun-tanning at Miami Beach and walking along the streets of New York!
