The Fukushima 50: Why Are They Dying For Their Country?

At least 50 Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant workers refuse to be evacuated, and continue to work to try and curb the nuclear crisis. This means they are exposing themselves to high levels of radiation, and are basically willing to die for the greater good of Japan.
I think this concept is really hard for most of us to understand, so I spoke with a University of Oregon professor who has spent the past 20 years studying, and sometimes living in, Japan about what might have motivated these people to take on this death sentence.
