@ae86miami I agree. Her reaction seems more like just being unable to handle the pressure of the situation and needing to get the hell out of there. The whole thing has massively overwhelmed her. That's what it looks like.
If it were a genuine rejection, then she'd have either just said "no" in front of everyone, or taken the dude to one side and done the deed in private.
Now, maybe she didn't want to marry him. I don't know.
But she ran away because she was overwhelmed.
