Limited Editions and Special Editions have two things in common. They are one off productions, and every series follows a specific theme. However, there are also differences. In a Limited Edition, every writing instrument is numbered individually and precious materials are used in even more splendour than in a Special Edition. Pelikan's current Limited Editions series have two main themes. The series Seven Wonders of the World started in 2004 with the Pyramids of Giza, which was followed by the Colossus of Rhodes, the Temple of Artemis, and the Lighthouse of Alexandria, and finally the Hanging Gardens launched in 2009. Two more will follow . . . In comparison the Limited Edition series Important Effects on Civilization is relatively young. It started in 2007 with the Evolution of Script and was followed by the Calculation of Times. Collectors all over the world wait avidly to complete their series. Limited Edition - Silver Screen ONLY 1 IN STOCK The Limited Edition Silver Screen fountain pen is the same size as the Souverän M1000 and has Pelikan's classic piston fill mechanism. This pen is a meticulously crafted pen and is one of only 400 (the model number is engraved in a 'Hollywood Star' on the bottom of the filler knob), making it extremely unique and precious. The cap and the filler knob are made of Sterling Silver and the cap is embellished with the Pelikan logo. The barrel is black resin with a celluloid collar depicting film frames and silver stars. Each of the 4 silver stars is inlaid with a real ruby. The nib is 18ct gold with rhodium trim. Only a Medium nib is available. It comes in it's own luxurious display case which is almost as exclusive as the pen itself. Perfect if you want to show off the Silver Screen in all its glory, the case can sit in your home and also displays the unique model number of your fountain pen. Pelikan Golf Limited Edition Based on the Pelikan Souveran M800 fountain pen, the Pelikan Golf Limted Edition was released in 1996 with a run of 4500. There was a run of 2500 sets of fountain pen with ball pen and an additional 2000 fountain pens alone. The pens we have for sale here have all been stored in with Pelikan in Hanover and have not been used or sold before. We have limited stock of these sets, for obvious reasons. Limited Edition - Pelikan 1000 Years of Austria Fountain Pen We do not have this in stock however we have supplied it to one of our collectors in the past. The Austria was produced in 1996 to commerate 1000 years of Austria and therefore 1000 pieces were produced. The original RRP was close to the Limited Editions of the time, however today this pen is worth a lot more.
