My mouse cursor will not move at all?

This is NOT on my laptop.The mouse cursor is not moving on my pc. I have tried looking in control panel=nothing. I have tried system restore to a date when my mouse WAS working=ZILCH. Please can you help? I had another mouse before this one and that one froze after a while.Then i get this new one and this has frozen.I have un-plugged it and but it back in but still nothing.Restarted the computer still nothing. I dont think its to do with the mouse caus the other one was different and that still froze. My child has homework she needs to do as she is in High School. At this momment im using the tab button to do most things. But theyre things witch NEED the mouse. I am close to given up.Anyone who can shed some light and help my resolve this is my hero!!! Please help and thanks for using some of your time to answer this. Soo Grateful x

    Have you tried plugging it into another USB port? The port may be bad.

    If the mouse contains the ball underneath,try rubbing alcohol on it.When it is dirty,it isn't working too well.

    try to call or bring it into your nearest computer repair shop.
    some circuits inside your PC might gone wrong/bad. that is need to repair and replace

    Maybe your CPU is broke... come get an operator...
