Canberra Cavalry showed plenty of heart to recover from a demoralising first-game loss and split its 'make-up' doubleheader with Melbourne Aces at the Showgrounds today......

Lefty Craig Anderson blanked the Bite for eight innings of two-hit ball, mirroring the dominant Friday night performance of fellow southpaw David Welch, and six different Sox players recorded hits as Sydney cruised to a 4-0 win in the series finale of four at Norwood Oval.

Following a lackluster effort with the bat in game 3, the Canberra Cavalry came out swinging to good effect in game 4 taking a tense 6-4 win and clinching their second straight home series and their first against league-leaders Perth Heat.

Despite ten hits on their own account, the Blue Sox couldn't keep up with the Adelaide Bite in the clubs' third game of a four-game set. Adelaide second baseman Scott Gladstone went 3-for-3, one of four Bite players with multiple hits, and the home team knocked off the second place Sox 7-3 Saturday night at Norwood Oval.
