In a cheeky, star-spangled tribute to U.S. military personnel, a battalion of top-selling female singers joined forces Friday night to tape the 'VH1 Divas Salute the Troops' concert -- hosted by Kathy Griffin -- at a Marine Corps air hangar in San Diego. Viewers can watch the concert when it airs Sunday night.

Katy Perry duetted with Nicki Minaj to cover Cyndi Lauper's 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,' and she re-appeared throughout the concert in one eye-popping costume after another to sing her hits. Perry even made one entrance suspended from a stars-and-stripes parachute. For her part, Minaj rocked a curly pink wig and day-glo mini to perform singles from her new release, 'Pink Friday.'

Other highlights, according to MTV News: Griffin, 50, kicked off the show in a teeny-weeny camo-patterned bikini, and was later joined by Snooki and The Situation from 'Jersey Shore' to introduce Grace Potter & The Nocturnals for a set featuring Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart. In another rousing collaboration, Keri Hilson sang with Sugarland for a cover of Aretha Franklin's 'Respect.' And Paramore appeared via satellite from Kuwait to sing "The Only Exception" and Foo Fighters' 'My Hero.'
