That last sentence runs counter to reports that stated Longoria dropped the divorce papers on Parker as a surprise in order to get revenge for his alleged cheating. He also reiterated that he never filed for divorce. On Tuesday, the day before Longoria officially filed for divorce, it was reported that Parker himself filed for divorce in Texas, a report that was quickly refuted by a rep for Longoria.
"I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California," he said. "We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private."
Earlier Thursday, it was reported that Parker had been sexting with Erin Barry, the wife of Parker's former teammate Brent Barry. The relationship reportedly never got physical, but it was Longoria's discovery of the sexts on Parker's phone that reportedly set the wheels for the divorce in motion.
