When the entire world will be watching your wedding ceremony, choosing the perfect wedding dress is essential.
Niemierko thinks that Middleton would choose a wedding gown "with a bit of a kick to it." He believes that the fashion-forward Middleton, who has worked for English clothing company Jigsaw, "would be a bit experimental and just go for something quite fashion-forward with an element of tradition. I don't think it would be the big massive long train like Diana. I think that it had its time and place."
Instead, he imagines that Middleton would choose a romantic, modern gown from an English bridal designer like Bruce Oldfield.

For the ceremony, Prince William might don a morning suit, which is a dark suit with a grey or black jacket and pin-striped trousers that is traditionally worn by the groom at an English wedding.
"I would like to think that he would be quite fashion forward as well," says Niemierko. "I would suggest Norton & Sons, a great tailor on Savile Row. They would do a bespoke morning suit for him."

The couple would probably have the ceremony in an Anglican church such as Westminster Abby or St. Paul's Cathedral in London.
For the reception, Niemierko says, "I think it would need to be in London. London instantly screams glamour and wow." Since the reception would likely involve hundreds of guests, he imagines the couple might choose a private royal property. Or they might hold the reception in the Savoy, a swanky London hotel. "It's going to be like five stars beyond five stars. I think the Savoy would be really exciting," says Niemierko.

What do you buy for the couple who has everything? Niemierko says that high-end English retailer Thomas Goode would be the perfect place for the couple to register.
"It's very old-school there. It's fabulous," he says. Niemierko suggests that the couple, who will probably receive a new coat of arms when they marry, could have their crest put on linens, cookery sets and cutlery.

The Queen would likely be present at the wedding but not take a leading role in the celebration. "I would imagine the Queen would take a back seat. She wouldn't do a big procession," says Niemierko.
"She wouldn't want to take away from Kate. She would want the focus to be on the bride and groom."

For the bachelor party, Prince William has the perfect party planner already at hand: his younger brother Prince Harry. In addition to hosting the bachelor party, Prince Harry would likely act as an usher or best man at the wedding, says Niemierko.

The royal wedding cake is likely to be "tall, fabulous and white," says Niemierko.
Traditionally, the top tier of an English wedding cake is fruit--with the idea that the bride and groom will freeze the long-lasting fruit and serve it at their first child's christening.
However, Niemierko says that "hardly anyone does that anymore" and he imagines that Prince William and Kate might opt for a more modern cake, such as this graceful cake by American baker Sylvia Weinstock.

The style of the wedding is likely to be very classic and traditional. Niemierko says, "I imagine that the flowers and the whole décor would be very traditional in the sense that it would be white and elegant." He says that the reception might include a candlelit dinner with flowers by top English floral designer Rob Van Helden Floral Design Limited.

The wedding is likely to be planned in-house by someone who works for the royal family. Although the bride's family traditionally hosts the wedding, Niemierko says that Prince Charles is likely to take a very active role in planning and hosting the celebration.
"Considering that she's marrying into the royal family and possibly going to be queen," he says, "Prince Charles' office may organize the wedding."

ReplyThe Royal Family is on the down swing in this modern age! Once they all die off it will be gone! They serve no leadership purpose at all to run a country! Its all gleamor and gold for the Brits.Here we go again thanks to the US media, I can not wait to see it all on TV (I for one will be not watching) They should get a life and see the world as it is and not behind therr Royal masks!!!How much world good has been in the news about the Royal family and what they do for commen people ,very limited indeed! We are ALL commeners in thier eyes and do not forget it when you watch the Royals on the Telly....
