(Nov. 12) -- Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital this afternoon after being diagnosed with what her publicist said was a "massive blood clot," TMZ reported.

Gabor, who is 93, has suffered health setbacks over the past year. In July, she fell and broke her hip, requiring surgery, and in August she had an operation to remove another blood clot, the Los Angeles Times reported.

In her heyday, the Hungarian-born Gabor was synonymous with a cultivated image of glamour and high society. She appeared in a number of Hollywood films and has been a fixture on American television screens, appearing in shows ranging from "Bonanza" to "The Love Boat."

In 2009, Gabor made headlines for losing $7 million to Wall Street swindler Bernard Madoff.
