Really looking forward to this game, and the reviews seem pretty solid. As for deathstreaks or the Nuke, I'm more than happy to see both of them gone.

They kept the game balanced by keeping the infinite care package glitch.

in fact, i read in the giantbomb review that every match ends with a comically large nuke explosion. seems like a big "F-U!" to infinity ward, don't you think?

YES! The Nuke and Deathstreaks are ridiculous, even though I won't be getting this game, it's good to know that CoD is evolving. MW2 is just a clusterf***.

@Beatz I agree, rewarding people for dying is just asinine! The nuke killstreak was abused beyond making the game fun. Nothing better than being 50-20 only to have the game end on a 25-2 camper.

@Faenix - Looking at it in hindsight, the major failing of MW2 with regard to killstreaks was that they stacked. Anyone with the smallest amount of skill could go from predator missile (at 5 kills), to harrier (7 kills), and then to chopper gunner or AC130 (11 kills) in almost no time at all. I can't remember who it was, but someone described this as "the rich get richer, while the poorer get poorer" and that kind of perfectly describes it. Once you are down in MW2, you are pretty much out.

I hope that the changes they've made to Black Ops are enough to fix the issue (we'll see....if the UPS man ever gets here)

Same crap, different toilet. I hate Call of Duty - well just the online. Well not even the actual online mode - just the people who play it. All they do is camp, hide, and snipe -basically play like pus$ies. I'm not gonna waste $60 on a game that I'll play for maybe a week until I get frustrated by all the campers. If you;re a camper - than F*CK YOU!!!!! Thanks for making me waste $60 when MW2 came out. I wont make the same mistake twice.

I am with you Bro' im gonna skip this one too.

Not only because i suck in MP but also i am more a single player than a Multi player. I love the graphics i can give them that, but everything feels more of the same, " been there done that rollercoaster ride".

Dont see really inovative things nor a great impact on gameplay. Dont get me wrong the game isnt bad, but i really REALLY cant stop thinking of it as milk-cow franchise. Cock of Duty: black cocks

I can't stand campers as much as the next guy, but if you're getting killed by the same one over and over... well... you're doing it wrong.

I am a quake 3 veteran and the path fps games have taken since halo 1 have disgusted me. Except bioshock and portal the genre is without skill and designed for the masses to enjoy rather than the best.

@ManuelBLG - Yeah, cos everyone has to play the way *you* want to play, right? They spent their money - let them play how they want to. I hate n00b tubers and quick scopers, but I won't bitch about it. Either adapt or quit. Oh, looks like you've decided to quit.

@ccc What does that even mean? Portal and Bioshock don't even have multiplayer, but they have skill? We must have different concepts of what skill means, because if you are "the best" then by definition you are better than the masses. If games were specifically made for "the best" then you wouldn't be the best, the best would become the masses.

Hmm, been playing this for a few hours and so far it's disappointing. My benchmark game is KIllzone2, and neither this (or MW2) come even close to living up to that.

Sorry, multiplatform gaming is dead. I'm sticking to PS3 exclusives from now on methinks.

As much as I dislike anything post CoD 3, you should get your scale checked, it's broken. KZ2 is far from being a game worthy enough to have others judged against it.

Is split screen multiplayer as limited as people are saying?

I heard they've scrapped all of the good parts of everything, and just made a 'dive right in at max everything' game?!

I got this a few hours ago, and I gotta say, this has improved over Modern Warfare 2 in a lot of ways (as it should). The multiplayer is balanced, customizable, the guns feel good, the wager matches are incredibly fun, zombies is always fun, and the maps are pretty varied. I haven't put too much time into the campaign yet.

But I agree that it isn't as "solid" as Infinity Ward's games. I have noticed a little framerate drop here and there, which to me doesn't detract much from the experience.

Some valid points except the balance. Of course the game seems balanced when everyone is on the same level. In a month is when you have the people that continually play vs the ones that play here and there. That is where the issues are. You never saw a nuke at the start of MW2, but now they are more common due to people having their weapons and knowing the maps down to the last blade of grass.

I plan on purchasing this later (Hopefully a Black Friday deal can save my wallet), but I hope it is still "balanced" at that point.

True, but from what I have noticed there isn't any super overpowered weapons like the shotguns were in MW2, and the perks all seem relatively balanced. And since you don't unlock perks and attachments by ranking up I think that point is more valid than it would be with previous Call of Duty games.

Sticking with BFBC and the upcoming Vietnam expansion , cant stand the running around aimlessly type of gameplay with each person only out for himself that prevails in CoD multiplayer . Its just Like Doom or Unreal and those type of games should remain in the past .

What? Doom and Unreal shouldn't remain in the past--those are different kinds of shooters, yeah, but they have their place among the pack these days. Doom 2 is still fun and UT3, lack of players aside, remains a fun arena shooter. They draw on different skillsets, but that doesn't make them bad games, bro.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is arguably the greatest PC multi-player FPS ever. It takes more strategy to win a CTF or TAM match in UT2004 than it does to win any game mode in Battlefield or CoD. It was all skill and aiming. None of this perk, air strike, AC130, unbalanced broken class BS. I'd rather have a fun, fast-paced shooter like Unreal Tournament 2004 (not the crap that was UT3) instead of the same war shooters getting recycled year after year.

I'd be very happy to be rewarded with a trophy for spending hours playing this online :(

Ummm, I have the exact opposite opinion. As much as I love the multiplayer aspect of most games, and although I spend a ton of time in multiplayer vs campaigns, I do not like multiplayer/online achievements because it encourages boosting.

There are no achievements for riot shields and yet people boost it in MW2. Imagine if there were achievements. Each game would be a nightmare.
