In case you didn't notice, Strike Witches 2 is no longer getting capped from BS-NTV. We're getting the Tokyo MX airing instead, since it's one day earlier. We couldn't do this before because of tuner conflicts, but we have more hardware now. Also, Giant Killing is back on BShi. The release schedule has been updated.

WOWOW (extremely high quality satellite pay-per-view channel) is having an Animu Week or two, so here's a list of upcoming movies and other potentially interesting stuff:

• 2010-08-06, TV Tokyo: Naruto Shippuuden Movie 3: Hi no Ishi o Tsugu Mono (2009) (hurr durr Naruto)
• 2010-08-09, WOWOW: Piano no Mori (2007)
• 2010-08-10 and 2010-08-11, WOWOW: Hellsing Ultimate 01-07 (6 and 7 have Blurays out already but 1-5 doesn't; there's a boxset coming September 30th though so the the entire exercise is sort of questionable, but still)
• 2010-08-14, WOWOW: Highlander: The Search for Vengeance (2007) (yes there is a Highlander anime, lorf)

None of these (except Hellsing 6 and 7) are out on Bluray yet, hence the caps. If you spot anything else interesting that isn't Pokemon and isn't out on Bluray yet, feel free to inform us. I don't suppose anyone wants the Zeta Gundam movies from some shitty AT-X HD-like H.264 channel so I didn't bother adding those, but yell if you think it's worth it (it isn't, that shit probably has a bitrate of like 3mbps for 1440x1080i).

Pokemon is now dropped because #pocketmonsters ([PM]) have decided to stop subbing it because people were doing things they didn't want with their subs. We sympathize with their plight and hope that all of you can learn to live without Pokemon in the future.

Edit: if you want it back, go ask #pocketmonsters@irc.pocketmonsters.net and www.pocketmonsters.net to start releasing it again. If they do, we might pick it back up.

Some of you might have noticed we released Porco Rosso last week. NTV are currently doing a Ghibli themed month or something and airing Ghibli movies in HD on friday nights. Upcoming movies:

• July 9: Whisper of the Heart (1995)
• July 16: Howl's Moving Castle (2004)
• July 23: My Neighbor Totoro (1998)

Don't expect too much from these; while Porco Rosso at least appeared to be HD, NTV's MPEG2 encoder sucks dongs and makes everything look like shit.

Oh, and on an unrelated topic, Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is cancelled because like three people downloaded it and it has an inconvenient timeslot. Also, Daimajin Kanon is not getting capped this week because it conflicts with Katanagatari episode 7.

The summer season has started, and it's shit. Nevertheless we plan on capping (almost) everything, just because we can. YES, this means you don't have to ask if we're capping show X.

Some random notes:

• Nurarihyon no Mago airs on YTV one day before it airs on Tokyo MX, but we're capping it on Tokyo MX anyway because YTV are being faggots and airing it in some block of other shit so we can't release it automatically without getting at least 3GB of other unrelated shit in the same TS.
• Mitsudomoe first airs on CBC, but we don't get that channel so we're getting the MBS version instead; it airs one day later there.
• Seitokai Yakuindomo will be capped from TVK (the first airing) if we can get the signal amplifier to cooperate (edit: we could). If this fails you'll have to wait several days for the next airing on a channel we get.
• Strike Witches 2 first airs on Teletama but we don't get that channel either so we're getting the Tokyo MX airing instead, one day later. Edit: just kidding, the Tokyo MX airing conflicts with stuff so we're getting the BS-NTV airing on friday night/saturday morning instead.
• We are preliminarily not going to cap Kuruneko 2, because we suspect there are like three people who care about it. If you are one of those, let us know and we may reconsider.

The release schedule has been updated, but not all summer shows are there yet.

While we're announcing things we might also add that Giant Killing on NHK BShi is removed from the capping schedule for the time being because of technical difficulties.
