Why in the world do we contiue the archaic method of determining who the home team is for World Series based on which league won the All-Star game. Someone please explain what in the heck does it matter who won the All-Star game. This is the World Series and there needs to be another way to determine "Home Team". Most of the time a lot of these players in World Series did not play in the All-Star game! And if they did play, so what!

The Yankees can pay for or five times as much as as many teams and therefore, build all-star teams year-after-year, and would NEVER dominate if they had to do an NFL-style salary cap. Now, you can argue this-n-that, but one thing you can't argue: The spankees went home spanked this year by a team of misfits. hahahahaha!!!

Drrntod the Yankees have such a big payroll because of the legends they've had over the years, which brought in so much money for them(Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Yogi Berra, Lou Gehrig, Don Mattingly, just to name a few). They made the Yankees who they are today. Look at the Red Sox....yes, they're Yankees rivals, but they have a large payroll too, because their fans support them and help bring in all of that money. It's about marketing too...the Yankees, the Mets, the Red Sox all do a great job with marketing their players, which brings in money for the franchise. That's not true at all, that if the Yankees had a salary cap like the NFL does, that they would never dominate!! Look at the Yankees from the 1920's to the 1950's...they dominated, and they did NOT have huge salaries back then. They played for the love of the game. That is exactly why so many players WANT to play for the Yankees...because of what the Yankees name stands for: dedication, heart, history, and the greatest fans in the world. All of the mediocre teams don't have huge salaries because they don't have a huge fan base! If nobody is going to see the home games, and there are no players to market, then there is no money to spend on your team. So don't say the Yankees are a team that buys championships, because if it wasn't for the greatness of the team, they wouldn't have any money to spend. By the way, the rangers aren't a team of misfits! They are a well managed team, with a lot of heart, who deserved to win. I can say that because I'm not a sore loser, like you make yourself out to be. As well as someone who can't get their facts straight! Nice try though Drrntod!!

Whoever wins this series, it's destined to be a great bunch of games. I don't think either team will sweep it...............they're both deserving of the title .
