While here in Hawaii we went to an exhibit by Hawaii’s own “Katch” at the Prototype shop at the Pearl Ridge center. Vandals from across the island came out to show support. He signed posters and signed a book to me. I tried to stay incognito and stay low pro, but i guess i shouldn’t have rocked my “Slick” medallion and chain. I hit a few books as well.

On the way back from Japan we stopped in Hawaii for a few days. It was real nice to escape the hustle of the city. While we were there we were fortunate to observe one of nature’s wonders, the”Night Blooming Cereus”. It only blooms for one night a year and wilts the very next day! I know this aint the typical post but i felt that it’s so easy to get caught up in the daily hustle and grind, we don’t stop to “smell the roses”.

We went down south to Tina’s home town. We met up with her old friend Mikko and I finally met Tina’s dad. We checked out some local attractions including the aquarium, the human body exhibit, dinosaur museum, and a haunted house.
Hikaru took us to the Ginza Strip for a traditional Japanese dinner. Everything was so dope, from the atmosphere to the 100 different types of tofu dishes. I ordered shabu shabu and even that was cooked in a tofu broth! The tatami dining rooms are in a row like a japanese village and you order the food on a phone from the room. After dinner we went to see Tokyo tower at night, wow, it was sick. The night would have been only more perfect if Godzilla attacked.

Hiro’s old friends took us for dinner at some nice ass teppanyaki spot on the 52nd floor. It was great kicking it with Tokyo’s true “business men” as they refer to themselves as, nah mean. The view was amazing and the food was incredible. I never had beef that melted between your chopstix b4.
