Forex Bling Brokers Test Results

by Gagahlin on 29/09/09 at 3:22 am

This section below is our Forex Bling test results from more than 25 brokers.
We tested using our predefined Forex Bling settings installed on those brokers platform.
You can download the MT4 folder with Forex Bling already installed in it at our member area.
Select Menu: ForexBling-BrokerCheck
Download the instruction: EASY INSTALLATION MANUAL
Follow the manual Step by Step. It will directly run without any additional setting.

After you installed Forex Bling correctly and you do not have the trades like our results below:
See the reasons
at the bottom of this page.

Based on our Test Results, some brokers produced better performance than the others.
And it’s understandable, because every broker has different spreads, slippage and volatility price.

Note:

  1. We will add some important comment for every brokers at our member area (inside Forex Bling Broker Checks section).
  2. For broker with minimum lot-size is 0.01 (micro lot-size); we open a demo account using $2,500.
For broker with minimum lot-size is 0.1 (mini lot-size); we open a demo account using $25,000.
  3. Next month we add NEW Thunderstorm EA & Evolution-2 EA to the basket, it will improve the performance even better.

We have not test these brokers below (because we can’t open a new demo account) :

1. Axis ODL

2. BulbBrokers

3. ODL

If you still do not get any trades:

First thing you need to check: Make sure you already installed Forex Bling correctly.
You can see some information in the screen; with a BIG Broker Trading Hour in YELLOW color.

And if you still do not have any trades after several days, we identify that mostly the problems because:

1. Incorrect ECN_Market_Order Setting.
If your broker is an ECN broker, Set TRUE.
We have listed which one is the ECN broker at our member area under ForexBling-BrokerCheck menu

2. Incorrect Broker_Trading_Hour Setting.
Input the correct your broker Trading Hour compare to the GMT Time.
We have listed the correct trading hour for every broker at our member area under ForexBling-BrokerCheck menu.

3. Incorrect Maximum_Spread_Allowed Setting.
The default settings is 3, but we found that some broker needs you to input bigger: 4 – 6 pips for EURGBP.
You need to look at the screen, when the screen tell you the Broker Spread is 5 (4 digit broker) or 45 (5 digit broker) you need to input: 5

    Hello,

I saw the statement report for every brokers, some have better performance (more profit than the others).

Should we choose this brokers ?
Do you have a special recommendation which brokers should we use ? and which one should we avoid ?

    Sincerely,

    Viviek

    Hi Team.

You really put more effort on your service more than others EA developers in the market.

The others only concern with the marketing with hope to sell their copies as much as they can.

In fact their trading system is so simple; and only backup with a hype sales letter. They don’t even have proven results you provide here: backtesting report, live forward results, broker test and much more.

    Thanks,

    Thomas

And furthermore it’s obvious that much effort and thought has been put into coding the EA’s.

I’d say that we need to wait until these tests have run for a few weeks before we can judge which brokers are more suitable than others…

I went and stupidly opened an account with Melbourne based forex broker gomarkets and my turnover between the previous broker and gomarkets dropped a massive 70%. I thought it was my EAs but hunting around on the net found people had similar issues with this broker. Seems that your figures only reinforced my concerns. The EA has made nothing zero at the time of writing compared with $100-$200+ with other brokers over same period, using same EA. Thanks for posting that result .. now i know i wasnt seeing things or going mad…the only thing was that i opened an account with go markets and was mad enough mucking around trying to work out how come my EAs performed so poorly with them.

Do you have setup for Alpari(US)? Also, should we see yellow Broker Time for all Bling EAs?

Hi, I have been using Forex Thunderbold on a live account with ITFX and I keep getting consistent loosing trades (only a pip or 2 loss) So I would reccomend to stay away from ITFX.

On the other hand, I have been using Thunderbolt and Evolution on a demo account with InstaForex (which is unfortunately not listed here) and the results are very good…

I really relish what you are doing here. May I suggest something please?

Would it be possible to RESTART afresh all the brokers’ accounts on a weekend when trading has ceased and then capture all their results the following weekend when all trading has ceased. This way we don’t have to scrutinise the stats too much. Just look at the bottom line of P/L. Then the majority will just make a V line for the winning brokerage.

    How’s that?

    It would be great!

Also another suggestion please. Are the Forex Bling EAs smart enough to take command from Forex Bling HQ which presumably has all the important news flashes like the FED’s and then just cease trading for x number of hours or whatever. If it takes a week to crawl back the news flash loss then surely stopping the EAs for x number of hours would save a lot of time and compounding efforts.

    Just me. Thank you.

Hi Guys…I note that you have used different initial funding amounts for your broker tests…for instance GoMarkets started off with a $2500 initial deposit whilst FXOpen started with $25000, Alpari $2500, Interbank $2500 and Forex Trading Direct $25000…so this seems as though it is NOT a level playing field, am I correct here or is there something I have missed??…kind regards dizzy

I noticed Risk & Management levels were inclining and declining depending on the dealer desk executions vs the money maker history makers of the slower connection websites and their ability to make the trades. In my experts tab I could see an attempt on certain brokers to slow the trade down and ask for a retry attempt and while on a robot and I’m not available to answer the request to rebid, the trade was either closed or not closed or not placed due to a lag in connection wether it was from the dealer desk or the Internet slowing during execution I know not the reason, but Mig Forex.com and it looks like Alpari look like they faired well!

What was the risk and the money management settings for the above results, without these how can anyone figure which was best?

Noticed that Thunderbolt and Fractals Low Volatility System take identical trades on EURUSD. So might want to watch your positions sizes if trading both EA’s concurrently

You are effectively doubleing your risk / reward :)

Will Thunderstorm, Thunderbolt 2 and new Fractals ever be launched? It was supposed to be last weekend, but no news even up till today Wed

    Oct 15th, 2009

I don’t understand the problem that John is having with Thunderbolt. I used it only on EUR/USD this week and had 12 trades which were all successful. It did open 5 at at time twice and one position two times for a total of 12. John, did you use it on more than EUR/USD?? If you did then limit it to that pair and use that for the next week.

After starting the expert advisor it says on the chart: “Latest version 910. Please check member area to download a new version”. But my member area is not up to date. 909d is still only version that I can download. When will the new version be online?

  18. C H

    Oct 15th, 2009

Forex Bling 910 was briefly uploaded to the member area this Thursday, but was removed. I have my hands on the 910 while it was there, but seems that the package was not a final copy as there were bugs here and there. When i email support, they asked me not to use it until end of this week, so I believe that there will be an improved version coming out this weekend.

The new version come with auto timezone detection, therefore need not specify the broker GMT offset anymore, which is a blessing as I always wondering why mine open trade at a different time than the demo account Forex Bling is posting …

Also the new version come with a version checking. If your version is older than current, it will shown in the chart … cool.

This morning I received an email informing me that the 910 package of Forex Bling is ready for download, but upon checked, it is has the Fractal 4 on 910, but Bling still at 909d.

    Some miss communication?

    Please advice.

    Oct 16th, 2009

Anyone seen build 910 yet? Supposed to be today? I’m only seeing 909d in the download page and no Thunderstorm…..
I’ve already prepared my raincoat AND umbrella.

  22. John Magne Laastad

    Oct 18th, 2009

Yes, I used it on GBP/USD in addition to EUR/USD. Maybe I should try it on EUR/USD only for a while. I will also consider to lower the aggressive setting from 5 to 3. And I will consider to try the new Fractals4, but in low volatility only, at least for now. Will run them in both modes on my demo acc to find out if the new version will perform better than 909 versions.

I have now been looking more into this and I can see that my terminal.exe process is growing very quick and I am pretty sure that was the thing that happened me when thunderstorm started to open positions when it shouldn’t. There is for sure a memory leak in thunderstorm and/or thunderbolt. I can’t say where but I can imagine it has something to do with the new implementation. If you run this, your EA will probably max out the VPS memory and you can have “nice” side effects to fxbling EA’s and also other EA’s that you run.

I can say that my terminal.exe process with alpari is up in 60MB right now and its increasing very quick. I removed thunderstorm and thunderbolt and just like that, the memory was returned to the operating system.

To forexhope, please have a look into this.

  24. Michael

    Oct 19th, 2009

I had exactly the same problem as Andreas. In the end I just removed all the EA’s. I’ll wait to see if ForexHope get their s**t together before deciding whether to give this package a miss or not.

Andreas i thing is your problem with alpari terminal.

I running Thunderstorm, Thunderbird,Freedom and Evolution and my terminal are 30 mb

  26. Jack

    Oct 20th, 2009

This is all interesting because I am using FXDD and have not had one trade in my new version 910. I am running only Thunderstorm and Thunderbolt. Since these are scalpers I am surprised with no trades and other people saying they are getting trades. I wonder what is up?? My installation seems fine.

I am glad Forex-Metal is in Top 10 for $2,500 Demo Account. In fact your review is accurate as I am also getting good results with running the EA on Forex-metal.

  28. Elbert Martin

Jack you have no trades on FXDD because of spread! Check it out!

I’m using Thunderstorm and Thunderbolt 910b and both are closing trades at only 3 pip profits. This is in spite of the TP being internally set at a higher pip count. Is anyone else experiencing this too?

  30. Alex

    Oct 30th, 2009

about the memory leak – that is definatly alparis fault – got the same problems here but only with alpari uk – opens up to 40 ports and never closes them. on other (demo-) accounts everything goes smooth like silk.

  31. Alex

    Oct 30th, 2009

correction – there are some ports opened for the following host :

dedicated.167.inmotionhosting.com TCP 80 and theese ports are not closed correctly – may be that is the auth server for the bling applications – no idea but the ports stay open till the terminal.exe is closed – btw – there are more ports opened than charts or ea’s – weired isn’t it ? Nevertheless – alpari gets sluggish if there are too many open ports besides the terminal connection – others do not.

My spread on FXDD for EUR/USD is two pips and I have Thunderbolt set at 3 pips so the spread is not the problem. I have Thunderstorm working just fine with them now as well as my other EA’s. It is Thunderbolt that will not trade.

I also only get three pips profit and got stopped out on 7 positions for EUR/CHF using Thunderstorm last night. These hugh losses have offset all my small three pip profits entirely so that Bling is now not profitable at all and is in fact losing money overall.

  33. John

    Nov 3rd, 2009

Same experience as Jack, Thunderbolt does not trade at all for two weeks, Thunderstorm opened two EUR/CHF trades yesterday with a 1 pip target…what’s going on? My Fractals4 set for low volatility trades only did not not open any posistion for the past two weeks. The only EA from the Bling package that seems to produce profit currently is Evolution. PS: Taken spreads into consideration, why is TB and TS programmed to open i.e. three identical 0.01 lots instead of opening one 0.03 lot? Just asking……..

  34. Gab

    Nov 6th, 2009

    Jack,

Same with me…on FXDD…no trade using the scalpers Thunderbolt after the second week…I wonder if the broker has limited scalping EA or what…only Freedom EA is working…

  35. Gagahlin

    Nov 6th, 2009

    @Gab,

Make sure you are using Thunderbolt EA and the newest Thundetbolt DLL too.
If you are not sure, download the zip file and copy the EA and the DLL again.

  36. rich

    Nov 6th, 2009

running 910b and thunderstorm trading fine, thunderbolt trading but rarely. not like it was in 909 version. removed GU from thunderbolt as it was always losing. removed freedom as well because its always on the wrong end of a trade. evolution2 is doing fine.

fractals 910 is where i have some issues- its always freezing in the charts. only trades high volatility. i have to reset MT4 constantly to unfreeze the charts. support says it is looking into it.

overall even with problems bling is profitable!!

I agree running bling on VPS does not do so well- didnt for me either.

  37. John

    Nov 7th, 2009

Rich, I have the identical issue with Fractals4..freezes the chart/broker time, executes no low volatility trades. Also Freedom works bad, hope they will improve it in the future. I normally close the positions opened by Freedom manually at once if the EUR/USD is trending the other way. AUD/USD and EUR/USD are positively correlated so they will 90% of the time move accordingly. Personally I think a trend following EA should be attached to a much higher time frame chart to perform good enough. Evolution though works fine for me too:-)

  38. rich

    Nov 8th, 2009

john, i am glad to see its not just me. fractals is good EA- hopefully they fix it soon.

  39. HRH

    Nov 8th, 2009

Gaglin, could you please explain to me , how do i backtest all new bling EA on strategy tester, i have tried 1 like Fractal4 , an eror appear says “backtest not working due syncronize on our host”

I like to do a backtest because to find out my suitable strategy on ODLS uk broker..

  40. IamRich

    Nov 9th, 2009

Note for HRH and others using ODLS… FYI: I got banned by them for using a EA and they kicked all us clients. Very long time to return monies as well.
