Tennessee Titans' quarterback Vince Young is entering the week day-to-day. Young, who sustained what Titans coach Jeff Fisher said were minor ankle and knee sprains in a victory Monday over the Jacksonville Jaguars, is typically a quick healer, Fisher said.
His status for Wednesday's practice is unknown, and the same is true of his status for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.
"I believe he'll be day-to-day probably throughout most of the week," Fisher said. " I think if you look at the mechanism and what happened in the game, I could stand up here and say that he's lucky. He's got just a mild knee sprain and he's got an ankle sprain-he's sore."
Young sustained the injuries on a first-quarter play on which he recovered a fumbled snap. Kerry Collins replaced him in the game, and Fisher said afterward Young could have played, but only taking snaps from the shotgun.
"He's got a good feel for what we're doing," Fisher said of Young. "It's not unrealistic that if he misses a couple days of practice that he still can play. I think he's got a good chance. The hard part about what we're going to do (Wednesday) is that we're not going to do an awful lot particularly because it's a short week. (Wednesday) will be more of a walk-through and we'll just see how he is."
