Among the teams vying for the top spots in the BCS rankings were Oregon (6-0), Boise State (6-0), Oklahoma (6-0), TCU (7-0), Auburn (7-0) and LSU (7-0). Those teams are undefeated and hold the top six slots in the latest AP Poll. Oregon assumed the top AP ranking on Sunday after No. 1 Ohio State lost to Wisconsin on Saturday.

A lot has to happen before LSU can wear the crown , but it is a possibility . The winner of the Auburn-LSU game will probably make a giant step to #1 . Boise State can only go down as their SOS continues to weaken .
(Oregon State and Nevada both lost this past weekend). Oklahoma has to play both Missouri and Oklahoma State plus a conference Championship game . Oregon has the best shot at the Pac-10 . Could get interesting .

Typical BCS --- don't give the #1 position to deserving Oregon, and dump Stanford out of the top ten. However, keep the stinkin' SEC teams in there, who are no more deserving than the Confederate flags they wave.

Sparty will be 8-0 after their upcoming win at Northwestern. Perhaps then the national media, married to the SEC, will have to take notice.
