As Jackson reached out to try and make the reception, Robinson stepped up and nailed Jackson high, forcing an incompletion. Robinson was flagged for a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for hitting a defenseless receiver.
Both players stayed on the ground for several minutes as several Eagles and Falcons took a knee near them and trainers attended to them. Eventually, both Jackson and Robinson stood up and were walked into their respective locker rooms with help from the training staffs. The Philadelphia crowd gave Jackson a standing ovation as he headed down the tunnel.
The Eagles announced that Jackson had suffered a head injury and would not return to the game. Atlanta listed Robinson as questionable to return with a head injury.
Earlier, Jackson scored the game's first two touchdowns, one on the ground and one through the air. The first came on a 31-yard run; the second on a 34-yard pass from Kolb.
