After directing Sean Penn to his second Oscar in the highly acclaimed biopic 'Milk,' Gus Van Sant has turned his attention to love, ghosts and funerals for his new movie 'Restless,' in theaters this January.

The film stars 'Alice in Wonderland' beauty and Gwyneth Paltrow lookalike Mia Wasikowska (seriously, when are they going to play mother and daughter in a movie?) in this touching story about a 16-year-old who falls in love with a quirky teenage boy (Henry Hopper). Among his quirks: crashing funerals and communicating with the ghost of a Japanese kamikaze pilot from World War II. (Ah, young love.)

Today, Moviefone obtained the exclusive trailer for the movie. Check it out above, then be sure to see 'Restless' when it opens on Jan. 28, 2011.
