LAGUNA NIGUEL – Local volunteers, including several individuals and families, as well as Girl Scouts from Troop 705, and students from Soka University, participated in Coastal Cleanup Day in Laguna Niguel Regional Park on Saturday morning.

Under the direction of Park Ranger Diane Wollenberg, about 50 volunteers removed 120 pounds of trash and debris from the park's creek and lake perimeter, and removed nonnative plants in various locations around the park.
