Painted with musical trophies within chased gilt bands reserved against the greyish-blue scale ground enriched in gilt, gilt line rims
4 1/8 in. (10.3 cm.) diameter, the saucer (2)

The Rene Fribourg Collection; Sotheby's, London, Part V - 15 October 1963, lot 415.

The sugar-bowl from the déjeuner for which the present cup and saucer was made was sold as lot 414 in the Fribourg auction. The lozenge-shape tray was sold through Christie's, New York, 21 October 2005 and is now in a private collection.
