TWO SEVRES PORCELAIN YELLOW-GROUND CUPS AND SAUCERS (GOBELET LITRON ET SOUCOUPE, 3EME GRANDEUR ET 5EME GRANDEUR)
DATE LETTER KK FOR 1787 TO BOTH, BLUE INTERLACED L'S MARKS, PAINTER'S MARKS FOR BARRAT TO THE SMALLER, EVANS TO THE LARGER
The smaller a bit paler, painted with confronting C-scrolls forming cartouches and interlaced with garlands, between blue vines, puce dot and puce dentil bands, gilt dentil rims; the larger with peacocks and smaller birds perched on berried branches, within blue foliate bands and an iron-red line border, a butterfly to the saucer's center
4¾ in. (12 cm.) and 3 in. (7.6 cm.) diameter, the saucers (4)
