Snickers Makes Creepiest Candy Commercial Yet (VIDEO)

Don Draper has shown us the difficultly of putting an artistic touch in advertising. Well, Snickers has nailed it with a Halloween commercial that is both oddly hilarious and creepy as hell.
The shopper reacts like any of us would if we were accosted by a seven-foot tall, insane person with a pushy love of candy who knows us by name.
You can't really scream, but you would feel shivers through your entire body while walking briskly the other way. And what do you say once you get to the register? That you don't want that many Snickers? Do you tell management what you just saw at the risk of sound crazy yourself?
Sure, we've over-thought this 30-second commercial, but that's our job.

I must agree, this commercial is very creepy but at the same time funny when you see the two kids at the end, you really understand what is going on. I think that it's the fact that the kids like the snickers so much in this commercial that they would do that is what they are trying to get across to people so that they buy snickers for Halloween.

The first time I saw this commercial, the sound on my TV was muted therefore jacking up the creepy factor by over 9000.

Yeah the Julia Childs'esque voice the kids effect makes it much less creepy.
The author says walking away with cold chills is the reaction he might have. I would probably hit the next aisle and unload it all then continue shopping (watching over my shoulder of course don't want anymore unneeded things foisted upon me.)
The kids peeking out at the end made it kind of cute in a wierd kind of way.

When I first saw this commercial, I, as always, was barely paying attention. But the large creepy figure got my attention back to the screen(just like the ad boys wanted) and the kid popping out at the end was perfect to add the "gotcha". No matter how they do it I still love Snickers.

Awesome--they finally made a mask out of that woman you always see in the "plastic surgery gone bad" shows! I want one!

the creepiest candy commercial I've seen is the one where the tree is growing out of the man's tummy, and mama tickles him to make more of the candy fall to the ground... that's just gross!

Well, I feel like the odd man out. When I saw the article, I was trying to see the creepy commercial. Of course it might just be my own inate insanity but I assumed it was kids from the get go, making it just a cute commercial to me.
