The webmaster of Spanish site Pokexperto just leaked all of the Isshu Pokemon's sprites and information (excluding Formes)! You can see them all below. With thanks to Melkor and Howabe from GameFAQS, I have compiled all of the Pokemon into a list which features all of their names and types. Base stats and abilities are also shown for all Pokemon that are not pre-evolutions (in other words, Pokemon that will most likely never be used in competitive tournaments since they evolve into something better). Check out our Isshu Pokemon list!

Update (3:45 PM) - Continuing with our prerelease coverage, more information has leaked on Japanese forum 2ch. The points below are arranged from newest to oldest, so read them from bottom to top if you just got here. Also be sure to read our previous posts today for more information!

  • If you purchase one of the TCG "Journey Partner" promo collections, you'll get a code inside that will allow you to download either Turtwig, Chimchar, or Piplup. Like the Kanto Starters, they have different abilities than normal.
  • TMs in the game - TM02: Dragon Claw, TM03: Psycho Shock, TM05: Roar, TM09: Venom Shock, TM10: Hidden Power, TM13: Ice Beam, TM15: Hyper Beam, TM17: Protect, TM28: Dig, TM29: Psychic, TM30: Shadow Ball, TM31: Brick Break, TM36: Sludge Bomb, TM39: Rock Tomb, TM41: Torment, TM42: Facade, TM43: Nitro Charge, TM44: Rest, TM45: Attract, TM46: Thief, TM53: Energy Ball, TM54: False Swipe, TM55: Boiling Water, TM56: Fling, TM57: Charge Beam, TM58: Free Fall, TM61: Will-o'-Wisp, TM62: Acrobat, TM66: Payback, TM67: Get Even, TM68: Giga Impact, TM70: Flash, TM72: Volt Change, TM76: Bug Resistance, TM78: Smooth Over, TM79: Ice Breath, TM81: X-Scissor, TM82: Dragon Tail, TM83: Cheer Up, TM86: Grass Knot, TM89: U-Turn, TM91: Flash Cannon, TM93: Wild Bolt, TM94: Rock Smash
  • N tells you, "If you want to protect the [emotional] bond, you should search for Reshiram!"
  • We're pretty sure now that Elite Four member Katorea is the same Katorea (or Caitlin in English versions) that accompanies Frontier Brain Darach, especially since Cynthia is in the game now.
  • Scary Zekrom!
  • Here's another pic of the badges and here's one of the map.
  • There is a new area called the Seabed Ruins which feature a unique rune scripture. You access it by using Dive. The writing on the walls is weird symbols.
  • Cynthia's Team - Spiritomb, Milotic, Garchomp, Lucario, Wargle, and Shibirudon. All are at Level 75 except for Garchomp, who is Level 77. She comes in the spring and summer only, but you can battle her as much as you like. So much for no old characters in the games - it appears that even one of the Elite Four is a Battle Frontier Brain.
  • Champion Cynthia is in Isshu. She is asking the player: "I'd love to challenge you... would you possibly be my opponent?"
  • You can get a Bicycle in Raimon City.
  • Professor Araragi gives you a Master Ball.
  • Your Trainer card lists your own Nature! Perhaps it has an in-game purpose?
  • Depending on the version you have, you can trade your Churine or Monmen for an in-game character's Monmen or Churine. So much for being version-exclusive!
  • After you beat the Elite Four you can find Pidgey, Wurmple, Rhyhorn, Gastly, Starly, and Shinx in White Forest at Level 5.
  • The fossils of Purotoga and Aken are found in Rizoodo Desert which you can access after you defeat the third Gym Leader. Once you obtain your fossil, you can bring it back to life in Shippou City.
  • A video of the first Gym Battle. Recorded from the live stream that was on NicoNico.
  • A video of the opening has appeared on YouTube. It shows N being crowned by Geechisu, and the sages which you have to find as a post Elite Four quest. This is followed by a montage of in-game shots with the words 'Hope', 'Dream', and 'Discovery'. It ends by saying 'Adventure Awaits for you and your Pokemon'. Much like the previous games, the title screen features a full 3D render of the mascot Pokemon.
  • Zekrom's Stats - It's caught at Level 50 and knows DragonBreath, Slash, Extrasensory, and Cross Thunder. Ability is TeraVoltage.
  • After the Elite Four you go on a quest to find seven sages. No further details yet as to why you go on this quest.
  • Reshiram's Stats - It's caught at Level 50 and knows DragonBreath, Slash, Extrasensory, and Cross Flame. Ability is Turbo Blaze.
  • Reshiram and Zekrom appear!
  • The Champion is reported to be Belle. She uses a team consisting of Muurando (Lv.66), Yanakkii (Lv.66), Musharna (Lv.66), and Enbuoo/Jaroda/Daikenki (Lv.70). The last Pokemon, obviously, depends on your choice of starter.
  • The final member of the Elite Four is: Renbu. He specializes in Fighting-type Pokemon and is reported to use a Nageki (Lv.48), Dageki (Lv.48), Roopushin (Lv.48), and Kojondo (Lv.50).
  • The third member of the Elite Four is: Katorea. She specializes in Psychic-type Pokemon and is reported to use a Rankurusu (Lv.48), Musharna (Lv.48), Shinborah (Lv.48), and Gochiruzeru (Lv.50). It's interesting to note that she shares both her name and her appearance with Caitlin (also called Katorea in Japan) from the Sinnoh Frontier Brains. They might be the same person, but this is unconfirmed.
  • The second member of the Elite Four is: Giima. He specializes in Dark-type Pokemon and is reported to use a Zuruzukin (Lv.48), Warubiaru (Lv.48), Reparudasu (Lv.48), and Kirikizan (Lv.50).
  • The first member of the Elite Four is: Shikimi. She specializes in Ghost-type Pokemon and is reported to use a Desukan (Lv.48), Burunkeru (Lv.48), Goruggo (Lv.48), and Shanderaa (Lv.50).
Pokemon #494 - Victini Pokemon #495 - Tsutarja Pokemon #496 - Jyanobii Pokemon #497 - Jaroda Pokemon #498 - Pokabu Pokemon #499 - Chaobuu Pokemon #500 - Enbuoo Pokemon #501 - Mijumaru Pokemon #502 - Futachimaru Pokemon #503 - Daikenki Pokemon #504 - Minezumi Pokemon #505 - Miruhoggu Pokemon #506 - Yorterrie Pokemon #507 - Haaderia Pokemon #508 - Muurando Pokemon #509 - Choroneko Pokemon #510 - Reparudasu Pokemon #511 - Yanappu Pokemon #512 - Yanakki Pokemon #513 - Baoppu Pokemon #514 - Baokki Pokemon #515 - Hiyappu Pokemon #516 - Hiyakki Pokemon #517 - Munna Pokemon #518 - Musharna Pokemon #519 - Mamepato Pokemon #520 - Hatoopoo Pokemon #521 - Kenhorou Pokemon #522 - Shimama Pokemon #523 - Zebraika Pokemon #524 - Dangoro Pokemon #525 - Gantoru Pokemon #526 - Gigaiasu Pokemon #527 - Koromori Pokemon #528 - Kokoromori Pokemon #529 - Moguryuu Pokemon #530 - Doryuuzu Pokemon #531 - Tabunne Pokemon #532 - Dokkorar Pokemon #533 - Dotekkotsu Pokemon #534 - Roopushin Pokemon #535 - Otamaro Pokemon #536 - Gamagaru Pokemon #537 - Gamageroge Pokemon #538 - Nageki Pokemon #539 - Dageki Pokemon #540 - Kurumiru Pokemon #541 - Kurumayu Pokemon #542 - Hahakomori Pokemon #543 - Fushide Pokemon #544 - Hoiiga Pokemon #545 - Pendora Pokemon #546 - Monmen Pokemon #547 - Erufuun Pokemon #548 - Churine Pokemon #549 - Doredia Pokemon #550 - Basurao Pokemon #551 - Meguroko Pokemon #552 - Warubiru Pokemon #553 - Warubiaru Pokemon #554 - Darumakka Pokemon #555 - Hihidaruma Pokemon #556 - Marakachi Pokemon #557 - Ishizumai Pokemon #558 - Iwaparesu Pokemon #559 - Zuruggu Pokemon #560 - Zuruzukin Pokemon #561 - Shinporah Pokemon #562 - Desumasu Pokemon #563 - Desukan Pokemon #564 - Purotoga Pokemon #565 - Abagoora Pokemon #566 - Aken Pokemon #567 - Aakeosu Pokemon #568 - Yabukuron Pokemon #569 - Dasutodasu Pokemon #570 - Zorua Pokemon #571 - Zoroark Pokemon #572 - Chillarmy Pokemon #573 - Chirachiino Pokemon #574 - Gochimu Pokemon #575 - Gochimeru Pokemon #576 - Gochiruzeru Pokemon #577 - Yuniran Pokemon #578 - Daburan Pokemon #579 - Rankurusu Pokemon #580 - Koaruhii Pokemon #581 - Swana Pokemon #582 - Banipucchi Pokemon #583 - Baniricchi Pokemon #584 - Baibanira Pokemon #585 - Shikijika Pokemon #586 - Mebukijika Pokemon #587 - Emonga Pokemon #588 - Kaburumo Pokemon #589 - Shubarugo Pokemon #590 - Tamagetake Pokemon #591 - Morobareru Pokemon #592 - Pururiru Pokemon #593 - Burunkeru Pokemon #594 - Mamanboo Pokemon #595 - Bachura Pokemon #596 - Denchura Pokemon #597 - Desshiido Pokemon #598 - Nattorei Pokemon #599 - Gear Pokemon #600 - Gigear Pokemon #601 - Gigigear Pokemon #602 - Shibishirasu Pokemon #603 - Shibibiiru Pokemon #604 - Shibirudon Pokemon #605 - Rigure Pokemon #606 - Oobemu Pokemon #607 - Hitomoshi Pokemon #608 - Ranpuraa Pokemon #609 - Shanderaa Pokemon #610 - Kibago Pokemon #611 - Onondo Pokemon #612 - Ononokusu Pokemon #613 - Kumashun Pokemon #614 - Tsunbeaa Pokemon #615 - Furiijio Pokemon #616 - Chobomaki Pokemon #617 - Agirudaa Pokemon #618 - Maggyo Pokemon #619 - Kojofuu Pokemon #620 - Kojondo Pokemon #621 - Kurimugan Pokemon #622 - Gobitto Pokemon #623 - Goruggo Pokemon #624 - Komatana Pokemon #625 - Kirikizan Pokemon #626 - Buffalon Pokemon #627 - Washibon Pokemon #628 - Wooguru Pokemon #629 - Baruchai Pokemon #630 - Barujiina Pokemon #631 - Kuitaran Pokemon #632 - Aianto Pokemon #633 - Monozu Pokemon #634 - Jiheddo Pokemon #635 - Sazando Pokemon #636 - Meraruba Pokemon #637 - Urugamosu Pokemon #638 - Kobaruon Pokemon #639 - Terakion Pokemon #640 - Birijion Pokemon #641 - Torunerosu Pokemon #642 - Borutorosu Pokemon #643 - Reshiram Pokemon #644 - Zekrom Pokemon #645 - Randorosu Pokemon #646 - Kyuremu Pokemon #647 - Kerudio Pokemon #648 - Meroetta Pokemon #649 - Genosekto

As we reported yesterday, Black and White have shipped early - many Japanese have already received their copies and are posting information and images on forums like 2ch. We will be compiling all of their information into this post, so be sure to keep checking back - this post is a team effort by Viper.Fox, Mew Jadester, Gin, Bangiras, DarkVulture, and Predator675! The points below are arranged from newest to oldest; read them from bottom to top if this is your first time reading this post. We'll begin our own coverage of the games once we receive our copies. In addition to all this game information, a video and information from the BW pre-special that aired in Japan today has been added below.

  • New Pokemon: Kumashun, an Ice-type.
  • According to leaked ROM data, in Generation V, all of Rotom's formes lose their secondary Ghost-type and gain the type of the special attack they learn: Electric / Grass, Electric / Fire, Electric / Water, Electric / Ice, Electric / Flying. We haven't personally confirmed this information yet, however.
  • Correction: We flip-flopped Kenhorou's gender forms: the male is the colorful one and the female is the brown one.
  • Correction: Nageki is a counterpart to Dageki like Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee are counterparts to each other.
  • New Pokemon: Nageki, the pre-evolution of Dageki.
  • New Pokemon: Baniricchi. Ice cream!! Its name is a play on "vanilla rich." It's the evolved form of Banipucchi.
  • The sixth Gym run by Furou uses Kokoromori Lv. 33, Kenhorou Lv. 33, and Swanna Lv. 35.
  • Kenhorou has a major gender difference; the first one is female while the second one is male. When your Hatooboo evolves it'll be one of the two sprites depending on its gender. (Correction: The forms are the other way around.)
  • Someone's already facing Furou, the 6th Gym Leader of Fukiyosa City. She hands out the Jet Badge.
  • Zorua evolves into Zoroark at Level 30.
  • New Pokemon: Daburan, the pre-evolution of Rankurusu.
  • New Pokemon: Kenhorou, the final evolution of Mamepato.
  • New Pokemon: Gochimiru, the pre-evolution of Gochiruzeru.
  • New Pokemon: Muurando, the final stage of Yorterrie.
  • New Pokemon: Hitomoshi, a Ghost/Fire-type. Evolves twice.
  • New Pokemon: Gobitto.
  • New Pokemon: Chobomaki, a Bug-type.
  • New Pokemon: Riguree, a Psychic-type alien.

  • New Pokemon: Pendoraa, the evolved form of Fushide.
  • New Pokemon: Shibishirasu, the first stage of a Lamprey line.
  • New Pokemon: Pururiru.
  • New Pokemon: Dotetsukotsu, the evolution of Dokkorar. It's a Fighting-type and evolves one more time.

  • Your third battle with Belle pits you against a team of: Hahderia (Lv.18), Yanappu (Lv.18), Munna (Lv.18), and Chaobuu (Lv.20).
  • N is officially affiliated with Team Plasma! He rides with you on the ferris wheel under the guise of being your friend, but is actually taking orders from Geechisu to free your Pokemon.
  • New Pokemon: Shinporah. Psychic/Flying-type. Only one eye, two golden wings without feathers. Native American design influence, more than likely based off a Nazca Bird.
  • A German NPC remarks: 'In the next city you'll stand a chance even without badges.'
  • Aati, the 3rd Gym Leader. Aati uses a Hoiiga (Lv.21), Ishizumai (Lv.21), and a Hahakomori (Lv.23). You get TM76 for winning, which is a new move called Bug Resistance.
  • New Pokemon: Ishizumai. Bug/Rock-type Pokemon. It is based on a hermit crab.

  • New Pokemon: Reparudasu. Dark-type Pokemon. It resembles a leopard (which is also it's namesake), and its coat features the rosettes of a snow leopard. Most of its body is purple, but its legs, head, and body markings are light brown. Very elegant and slender. Choroneko's evolution.

  • From the anime: Jyanobii was also shown in battle.
  • From the anime: Futachimaru was shown in battle.
  • New Pokemon: Hiyakki. Evolution of Hiyappu.
  • Otamaro's stats - at Level 13 it knows Cry, Confusion, Bubble Beam, and a new attack called Troll (as in, the vocal sound of trolling.) This new attack is reflected in it's Pokedex entry: It uses its cheeks to send out a high pitch vibration sound to warn its fellows of danger.
  • New Pokemon: Dageki. The Karate Pokemon. Pokedex entry: You can hear the sounds of fists smashing on rocks and trees from atop the mountains it trains on. At Level 12 it knows Rock Smash, Leer, Bide, and Focus Energy.

  • New Pokemon: Hahderia. Normal-type, evolution of Yorterrie. Has a similar face to Yorterrie, but with a moustache. Face and legs are golden, body is blue.
  • New Pokemon: Dokkorar. A new Fighting-type Pokemon. It's bipedal and wields a wooden plank. It evolves twice.
  • New Pokemon: Otamaro. It's a Water-type tadpole which was previously revealed to us by Pokexperto. It will have two evolutions, the first reported to be a larger tadpole that is Water/Ground, and the second being a Water/Ground bull frog.

  • Koromori's stats - at Level 11 it knows Confusion, Odour Sleuth, and Gust.
  • Baoppu can be caught at Level 10 in the Abandoned Lot of Dreams.

  • Tsutarja evolves into Jyanobii at Level 17.
  • The PC only has eight Pokemon storage boxes. This is quite a low number, so it's possible that once the Elite Four have been defeated and the National Dex acquired that more will open up. Comparatively: Pokemon Yellow had 12 boxes back in 1999 for only 151 Pokemon!
  • You battle Belle's starter Pokemon with your starter Pokemon. If you choose Mijumaru she has Pokabu.
  • Tsutarja's stats - at Level 16 it knows Tackle, Grass Mixer, Vine Whip, and Growth.
  • It's your mom!
  • A shiny Yorterrie!
  • The HM's in the game are Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Waterfall, and Dive.
  • You can see the silhouetted images of the Gym Leader's badges here.
  • The game guides show that Black version has Iris as its eighth Gym Leader while White has an old man named Shaga as its eighth Gym Leader; Shaga was shown next to Iris in a commercial the other week. Be sure to see our previous post for information on all the Gym Leaders. There are a total of 11 Gym Leaders in eight Gyms.

Noooo... this is what I wanted to do after film school... my dream! I'll be crushed if this turns out to be real. :(

Gaming website Shogun Gamer received an e-mail last night containing a link to a live-action Pokemon movie trailer. According to the person who e-mailed it to them, a private screening was held at a movie theater last night and the Pokemon trailer was shown. The trailer was three minutes long, but the person only managed to pull out their camera for the last 40 seconds of it.

It is standard practice for film companies to have "test screenings" of movies and trailers to gauge the reactions of audiences, so this isn't something too unbelievable. While the trailer in-and-of-itself looks pretty legitimate, its content does not seem to conform to Pokemon's young standards (Team Rocket, if that's who they are, uses guns). Film students like me are gaining greater access to CG software every day, so this could just be someone's film project that they tried to pass off as real. As of now, we're not sure what we're dealing with here, so please take this trailer with an absolute grain of salt. It still looks pretty interesting even if turns out to be a fake - someone obviously spent a lot of time on it!

According to Gin (Heerosferret), Amazon.com just sent her an e-mail stating that her copy of Pokemon White shipped and will arrive at her house in Japan tomorrow morning, which is in about 24 hours. This probably means other people's copies have shipped and will arrive soon. As soon as we receive our copy, our coverage of Black and White will begin, and judging by the early shipments, it could just be within a day!

Pokexperto has sent us screenshots of Isshu's Fighting-type Legendary trio, as you can see below. The blue one is Steel/Fighting, the gray one is Rock/Fighting, and the green one is Grass/Fighting. Melkor (the webmaster) has sprites of all the new Pokemon and may release them soon, so if he does, we'll of course make an update here. Click the thumbnails below for larger images.

Isshu's Fighting Trio: Steel/Fighting and Grass/Fighting Isshu's Fighting Trio: Rock/Fighting (against Buffalon)

Additionally, D.N.A. has helped me update the list of Melkor's Pokemon descriptions with new entries the webmaster has leaked over the past few days. Some of the new Pokemon have fan art that Melkor commissioned based on the sprites he has, so when you're clicking through the images and some of them look like fan art, you'll know why. The list has also been updated with the Pokemon from the CoroCoro magazine leak. Enjoy!

Victory Medal Battle Road Promo

We have received word that the next Pokemon League season, which is to be named "Ring Drop," will continue the trend of releasing useful Pokemon cards to League players. For the "Ring Drop Season," players will be able to earn Donphan from HeartGold & SoulSilver and Spiritomb from Arceus. We'll provide scans as soon as we get them, but the cards will probably have the same holo treatment as this past year's League promos. The "Ring Drop" League season will begin September 27th; each season will be named after a Pokeathlon event and will feature a Pokemon that excels in that event (in this case, Donphan).

Additionally, we have received a scan of the new Victory Medal promo card that will be given to winners of the fall Battle Roads. This Victory Medal features Typhlosion, and since there is also a Meganium and Feraligatr version that was released in Japan, we'll probably get them in the future as well (perhaps one of them for the spring Battle Roads?). Thanks goes to Michael K. for the scan to the right; click it to enlarge it! It only took them three years to get rid of those old Pikachu ones!

Rumors circulating around Japanese blogs state that the first Black and White TCG set will be split into two sub-sets, Black Collection and White Collection, and will be released in Japan on December 17th. Each "set" will feature 50 Isshu Pokemon for a total of 100 new Pokemon cards, and with Trainers, the sets will be even larger. There will also be a new mechanic involving Legendary Pokemon which could be some sort of continuation of LEGEND cards, though details are unknown at this time.

In terms of booster packs, each pack will only contain five cards, though the price of one will drop down to 158 yen (less than two dollars). Booster packs will not contain any Energy cards or reverse holos and you will only find a holo in one out of every two packs. If you buy a booster box of the sets at Japan's Gym Challenge tournaments, you will receive a special Zoroark promo. If you purchase four booster packs at participating retailers, you will have the chance to receive other promos as well. We'll probably receive details and images of the set after Black and White are released in Japan on Saturday, so stay tuned! Thanks goes to Bangiras for the translations!

As its name suggests, a new soundtrack titled TV Anime Pocket Monster Original Soundtrack Best 1997-2010 was just released in Japan containing background music from the animé's thirteen-year run. It's divided into two discs; the first contains music from Kanto and Johto while the second has music from Hoenn and Sinnoh. Some of the music has been released before but a good portion of it hasn't! What kind of music can you find on it? The one below is one of my favorites and definitely one of the most nostalgic! If you want to buy the CD, you can purchase it through sites like CD Japan for about $31.00.

The fall 2010 tins, which we first posted about all the way back in May, are finally available at stores like Target and Wal-Mart! Depending on the tin you purchase, you'll get a Legendary Beast from Secret Wonders with a special holo treatment and a HGSS promo with the Legendary Beast as a shiny Pokemon and with a holo border. The shiny cards originate from a promo pack that was released in Japan in July. The tins also contain a message stating that future sets will have more shiny Pokemon, which of course means the ones from this news post will make it to American shores. Thanks goes to forum mod Omahanime for the scans below; click them for larger images.
