A porcelain dish
Okawachi, Nabeshima ware, Edo period (17th century)
Of lozenge shape with rounded corners and on a raised foot, decorated on the interior in polychrome enamels with phoenixes and peonies in four oblong panels surrounded by stylized floral motifs, the underside with four leaf sprays and a geometric band around the foot in cobalt under the clear glaze
