Labor Day bargains galore: Save at the Gap, Six Flags and spas
Filed under: Fantastic Freebies, Bargain Babe
But, hey: There's nothing rigged about these bargains. Here are some sweet deals and Fantastic Freebies worth checking out:
Gap online goodness: If you missed that big half-off deal that Groupon did for Gap stores last month, fear not. A good consolation prize comes by way Daddyodeals.com, which entitles you to Labor Day weekend savings when you shop Gap online. Get 25% off your gap.com purchase Sept. 3 only; 20% off Sept. 4-5; 20% off Sept. 6; and 10% off Sept. 7. Use this code at checkout: GPLABORDAY. Ends Sept. 7. While we can't 1000% vouch this will work, let's put it this way: We're giving it a shot ourselves.
Six Flags super savings: Six Flags theme parks are offering some of their lowest prices in 20 years, and if you haven't made Labor Day weekend plans yet, fire up that web browser and pack the minivan. If you buy your season passes for 2011, you get the rest of 2010 for free at many locations, including passes to local Fright Fests, In some cities, such as San Francisco, you can get four 2011 season passes at Discover Kingdom for $50 each -- the same price as a single-day ticket. Deals differ from park to park, so go to the Six Flags web site and see what's cooking in your corner of the continent.
Sweet Office Depot Chicago: Chicagoland area Office Depot stores have teamed up with Dunkin' Donuts to give you $10 off a qualifying purchase of $30 or more. Simply go to Dunkin' Donuts, buy anything, save the receipt and bring in the special coupon for Office Depot. One-third off is quite the sweet deal, wouldn't ya say? Expires Oct. 2, and not good on consumer electronics or software products. We suspect similar promotions are running elsewhere in the U.S., so be on the lookout during that next Coolatta run.
Experience a spa for half off: Spa lovers rejoice! SpaFinder.com is offering discounts on massages and facials to make them more affordable as part of their Deal Days promotion. Treatments are either 50% off or a flat $50. The catch is that you do not get to chose the treatment. The spa decides ahead of time which services are discounted and you pick from their offerings. The spa deals are only available between Sept. 20-26, 2010.
Friday Freebies = Fantastic Flicks: In case you missed Bargain Babe's dispatch from Aug. 31, I'm repeating it here: You can get a $5 movie ticket with the purchase of any entree at McCormick & Schmick's. Check out Julie's post here and get all the details; tickets while supplies last: So dig in.

I would not buy a thing from the above stores.
They price their items 7 -8 times then give a discount of off what?
they have to learn to come down drasticly on prices.
Thanks.

There are so many ways to get discounts, it's hard to understand why people are taking advantage of the offers out there.
The site that I use as often as I can is Trafficocity. They get you Cashback from your online purchases from about 700 stores.
I use Amazon a lot and typically get back about 6%, deposited usually within 1-2 days into my PayPal account.
You can read about them at http://www.trafficocity.com/html/what_is_trafficocity.html
If you're an Amazon user like me, just go to http://www.trafficocity.com/html/amazon_rebates.html
They spell out the 3 steps to get started. No registration. Just use their links to shop and let them know what you bought, from who and what you paid.
Pretty easy.
I also just used one of their specials and got 15% Cashback on inkjet supplies for my college kid. That was at http://www.trafficocity.com/html/inkjet_supplies.html
The strange thing about Trafficocity is that they don't post these specials anywhere on the site. If you downloaded their Toolbar, which you don't have to do, you get alerts about specials, but if you just go to their site you'll probably nevr know about the deals they pass along.
