Kibitzer's Corner
May-07-06   Zebra: They say that shogi encourages a sacrificial style of play. A beautiful example here from the first man to hold the seven crowns (shogi titles) in one year.
Jul-05-06   Confuse: wow o _ o

totally agree with u <Zebra>

Oct-31-06   Belezky: Real chess brilliancy!
Aug-20-07   sleepkid: 18. ...Bxh2 is one of the most beautiful moves I've seen in a long time, especially after already having sacrificed the exchange.

WannaBe: Pun potential, "Habu that?!" with a tribute to Harry Carey.
Aug-21-07   Atking: Still here <Zebra>! How are you? I have another good news to you. The Shogi professional Mr.Honma (6dan) will be in Germany during November. I have not his exact program but he should be in Dussedldorf in the middle of this month. About the game of Mr.Habu Yes of course is very strong in a tactical melee but he can play positionnal chess as well. I remember nearly 10 years ago when I showed quite quickly the famous game Kasparov vs Kramnik (Dos Hermanas 1996) to Mr. Habu and Mr Moriuchi in few sec they stopped me and noted to my intention a mate in 4 (move 29) which was not played by Kramnik... They were playing chess only few weeks since 1994 for Mr. Moriuchi and 95 for Mr. Habu. Quite impressive.
