2010/04/24(土)minoriが英語ファンサブサイトに対して「実力行使」を行う。
4月23日、日本でリリースされている美少女ゲームを英語に翻訳するプロジェクトについてまとめたWiki（TLWiki）のとあるページで突然、編集合戦（edit war）が勃発した。
 舞台となったのは、eden*の英訳プロジェクトのページ。発端となった編集を行ったIPは…同タイトルの制作・販売を行っている、minoriのものだった。 編集後のページは、以下のような内容となっていたらしい。
「らしい」というのは、当該ページが現在削除されてしまっているからだ。ただ、上記の内容を含めたやりとりは、encubedの記事にまとめられている。 ・minoriの主張はどのようなものか encubedの記事にまとめられている内容から、minoriとファンサブの支持者と思われる相手とのやりとりを抜粋する。
「英語でリリースされれば買うのに！」 ――ある意味常套句とも言える反論だが、それに対するminoriの主張は明確だ。 「正式なライセンス以外は認めない。」 これらのやりとりを見る限り、minori側は少なくともそれなりの準備（調査）を行った上で、今回の行動に出たと推測される。 ・minoriの行動についての考察 ※2010/4/25追記及び取り消し線を追加：この件についてのminoriによる発言は、TLWikiのtalkページにまとめられており、それによると、
とあり、minoriはあくまで事前に警告を行った上で、以下のような行動に出たようだ。 今回のこのminoriの行動は2つの点で「前代未聞」であったと言える。 美少女ゲームメーカーが自ら直接、他国のサイトに乗り込んでこのように直接的な「抗議」を行った事もそうだが、 画像から確認することができるが、今回の編集はあまりに突然のものだったため、当該ページはしばらくの間、minoriと（一般）ユーザーとの編集合戦の状態となってしまい、（たまたま居合わせた）管理権限を持つユーザの手によって収められるという形となってしまった。 もしTLWikiの管理者が非協力的だった場合、違反を取り締まるどころか、問題がこじれてしまった可能性もあっただろう。（やり方が悪いからと言って行動それ自体を非難するのはお門違いではあるが、）minoriが有無を言わさぬ法的措置でなく、このような「荒らし」と間違われかねないような行動に出た点は、やや疑問が残るところではある。 ・今後の展開は ともあれ今回の件は、該当ページの削除という形で一応の解決を見た。しかし、以前このブログでも取り上げた、No Name Losers――彼らはminoriの作品の「海賊版」のリリースを宣言している――に対して同社がどのような行動を取るのかは分からない。（なお、No Name Losersが最近Youtubeに投稿したefの動画は、minoriの申請により削除されている。） また、今回の件を受けてTLWikiは、トップページに権利者からの問合せ先を明記した。TLWikiにリストアップされている他の作品の権利者（＝日本の美少女ゲームメーカー）が、今後どのような行動を取るかについても注目される。 （参考リンク等） ・Eden* edit war with minori(encubed) ・Visual Novel Publisher Minori Object To Project Fan-Translation(Siliconera) そもそもminori自体が外国人嫌いなわけで [2010/04/24 21:13] | [ 編集] これから全面戦争が始まると思う minoriは色々不満買ったからな エロゲ規制賛成者の元ファンまで作って何が得たいか NNLももともとファンで翻訳についてminoriに連絡したこともあるが、返事をまったくもらえなかったし [2010/04/24 21:24] | [ 編集] >とあり、minoriはあくまで事前に警告を行った上で、以下のような行動に出たようだ。 は？バカかてめーは？ 「編集前に別途メールにてクレームをお出ししておりますし」って 出して、１秒後に嵐するだけじゃねーか 管理者の対応を待たずに siねよ [2010/04/25 01:42] | [ 編集] 管理人のみ閲覧できます

These are hacked so that any computer can play it with no problems or DRM to mess with. You just have to install it. Now I ask you, which would a user prefer then? ＠＠＠＠＠＠＠＠＠＠ [Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with any fan translation project, I am just an English speaking fan of eroge who is grateful for the huge amount of work fan translators, and official translation companies such as MangaGamer.com and JastUSA do for English fans like my self.] All we wish to do is be able to play these games. Many English speakers enjoy eroge just as much as you guys do. There are some bilingual guys who enjoy a title so much that they spend months or years to translate it into English, a very difficult task. In many ways, it was because of these hard working translators working for free that we in English now get a number of official translations of eroge worth playing. MangaGamer.com is releasing titles in English from medium size companies like Navel, Circus, and Overdrive, and had it not been for English fan translators this likely would have never happened. As to Minori, many respect their position and understand where they are coming from. However at the same time many people wish to play Eden and EF, and minori is making no attempts to provide this in English, so it is hard to feel sorry for them. Before it is said, the people who do fan translations for NNL and TLWiki are nothing but that, fans. English fans of eroge have little to no control over agreements between companies, nor the resources to get official permission, so minori's comments "get permission from us" does not do anything for fan translators, and until minori looks for an avenue to release their stuff in English, people are going to be fan translating their stuff since they release enjoyable visual novels. I am not saying this is morally right, however there is little that can be done, people don't determine how much they want to play a game based on the company's position, they determine it on how good the game is. I may speak little Japanese, and I may not be Japanese, but that does not mean that I can't enjoy a good eroge when it is in English. Because we are limited in what we can play by a language barrier, we am restricted to games that are released in English. There are relatively few eroge in English, and the English eroge fans will take what ever they can get. This is determined by what they can get their hands on, and in many cases this will be fan translations until the Japanese companies start releasing stuff themselves. Fan translators greatly respect official deals. There is not a single ongoing illegal translation project for any of the companies involved with MangaGamer (Nexton, Circus, Overdrive, Navel, Base Son, and some more), and within 48 hours of JastUSA announcing a partnership with Nitro+, all active Nitro+ projects stopped regardless of if JastUSA actually announced that they were bringing that game over (SuMaGa was halted for example). If the Japanese companies don't want to provide for the English audience, then fan translators will likely continue to translate eroge.
