Chairman of major moving firm reported to prosecutors for molesting high school girl
The chairman of a major moving company has been reported to prosecutors for allegedly molesting a high school girl, police said.
The Metropolitan Police Department reported Toshio Terada, 64, chairman of Osaka-based moving service operator Art Corp., to public prosecutors on May 31 on suspicion of violating the Tokyo metropolitan ordinance on healthy youth development.
Terada allegedly molested a 16-year-old female high school student, whom he met through a manager of a talent agency, at his apartment in Tokyo's Roppongi district sometime around Aug. 27 last year.
Investigators said they have also arrested Kimiyoshi Yamaguchi, 50, former president of Tokyo-based talent agency Icon, for molesting the same girl in violation of the Child Welfare Act.
