A FINE PAIR OF WUCAI 'DRAGON AND PHOENIX' BOWLS
KANGXI SIX-CHARACTER MARKS WITHIN DOUBLE-CIRCLES AND OF THE PERIOD (1662-1722)

Each with deeply rounded sides rising to a slightly flaring rim, painted to the exterior with two dragons amidst flower sprays chasing 'flaming pearls' divided by two descending phoenix, below a narrow band of the eight Buddhist Emblems interspersed with ruyi-heads at the rim, the interior with a medallion enclosing a writhing dragon chasing a 'flaming pearl' amidst fire-scrolls
