The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. What should I do with alert "Warning! Your computer is at risk of malware attacks."?

I had a lot of windows open at the same time (30 internet browser windows and 10 local folder windows), so my slow processor had to work a lot (Intel Celeron M), which I could hear. The whole laptop was of course quite slow because so much was open. Is this the reason I now have this alert (which probably is a malware or virus or whatever threat in itself):

"Warning! Your computer is at risk of malware attacks. We recommend you to check your system immediately. Press OK to start the process now."

Of course, I have not pressed OK yet, but I don't know what to do now. Probably the malware will break out as soon as I press OK. What if I restart? And then safe mode and run ComboFix and Malwarebytes in safe mode?

I'm making this posting from my second computer.

The malware infected computer is a HP Compaq nx7300, Windows XP Pro SP3 32-bit.
