Teresa Teng 鄧麗君deng Li-jun 舞伴涙影changing Partners One of my favourite oldies. Nice to hear Teresa sing a Chinese version, titled 舞伴涙影. Nice to hear Teresa sing any version of..... anything! Again, I dedicate this upload to all of us, Teresa's fans. Thank you for watching. Page Patti - Changing Partners Lyrics We were waltzing together, To a dreamy melody When they called out, "change partners" And you waltzed away from me Now my arms feel so empty, As I gaze around the floor And I'll keep on changing partners Till I hold you once more Though we danced for one moment And too soon, we had to part In that wonderful moment, Something happened to my heart So I'll keep changing partners Till your in my arms, and then Oh my darling, I will never Change partners again Though we danced for one moment, And too soon, we had to part In that wonderful moment, Something happened to my heart So I'll keep changing partners Till your in my arms, and then Oh my darling, I will never Change partners again |

The Valentino Achak Deng Foundation Story www.valentinoachakdeng.org Valentino Achak Deng was a victim of the civil war in Southern Sudan. During attacks by armed janjaweed raiders, he fled home in 1986, walking 800 miles to safety in Ethiopia and then Kenya. He became one of the so-called "lost boys," growing up without parents in refugee camps. In 2001, Valentino was resettled to the United States, and in 2006, his life story was told in the novel What Is the What, by Dave Eggers. Southern Sudan is still recovering from war. Extreme damage to the infrastructure has left most of the region in poverty, and there are very few schools or educational opportunities. Valentino and Dave have established the Valentino Achak Deng Foundation, a non-profit organization which, among other projects, is building the first secondary school in Valentino's hometown of Marial Bai. The school will open in April 2009, part of a 12-building educational complex including a library, a teacher-training college, a community center, and other facilities. The Foundation is still raising funds to finish this complex. Footage by Valentino Deng, Dave Eggers, and Greg Larson. Edited by Brian McGinn. |

Teresa Teng 鄧麗君deng Li-jun - I've Never Been To Me. My favourite rendition of this song compared to even the original singer, who, BTW, is a one-hit-wonder. A bit biased, I know, but I really love Teresa's oriental voice pronouncing these English lyrics so gently and softly. It was a 1982 Hong Kong TVB broadcast. Hence, it is a studio recording. Perhaps, my favourite Teresa song in English. |

Deng Ltd, Ghana, Solar Electricity For Rural Communities - Ashden Award Winner This video can be downloaded here: www.ashdenawards.org Deng won an Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy in 2007. To find out more visit the link above and check out the Ashden Awards Blog ashdenawards.blogspot.com Deng Ltd, an established engineering company in Accra, has developed a viable and sustainable business model for the provision of solar-home-systems to rural areas where access to grid electricity is limited. Deng has done this by venturing out of the capital and setting up a network of dealers to service the more remote areas. Deng has also set up a training centre for solar technicians in order to further expand the business and ensure the future sustainability of the scheme. The training centre, which has already trained 120 people from various sectors, is in itself a significant driver for growth of the solar PV market in Ghana. Whilst Deng does sell and install PV-powered grid backup systems around Accra, the mission and focus of Deng is in providing solar electricity to rural areas that do not have grid access. Since 1998 Deng has supplied 1000 fixed systems and 6000 solar lanterns to communities across Ghana. |

Deng Li-jun 鄧麗君teresa Teng 雪中情love In The Snow Teresa in Concert at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Hong Kong, in January, 1982. During the concert, a man goes onstage to present Teresa with a bouquet of flowers. He went on to say how, on the first night he arrived in Hong Kong, 2 years ago, he heard the song "When will you return?" by Teresa. "Where are you from?" she asked. "From Beijing," was the answer. The crowd applauded. This man had really come a long way for the concert! He turned out to be an immigrant from the communist mainland, looking for a better life in free Hong Kong. It was his dream come true to be photographed with her. This was his second night at the concert and Teresa remembered. She said, "Yes, yes, I remember you were here last night. You were sitting right over there. You are wearing the same clothes tonight." Teresa wished him well and hoped he would find happiness in Hong Kong. She could be so sweet, caring and sincere to a stranger. This is one of the nicest things I remember about her. This video is dedicated to all of us, fans who adore her, those who have adored her since our childhood and fans who will get to know her now and in the future from you-tube and other sources, and ESPECIALLY TO A VERY FAITHFUL FAN IN THE USA, hkship. |

Teresa Teng 鄧麗君deng Li-jun 四個願望four Wishes A beautiful Chinese number by Teresa Teng, entitled "Four Wishes." This video was shot in Teresa's Tokyo Apartment in 1978. This translation is for those who love Teresa's songs, but do not understand Mandarin. If the time comes, when I wish for romance, I have 4 wishes. When I find a lover, I have 4 wishes. The first wish is to present me with a rose so fragrant. The 2nd is to pluck for me a star from the sky. The 3rd is to accompany me to a mountain top to watch the moon. The 4th is to accompany me to the seaside and holding hands, walk on the beach. If you'll grant me my wishes, I'll forever remember to madly, truly fall in love with you. Forever and ever, I'll be at your side. If the time comes, when I wish to romance, I have 4 wishes. When I find a lover, I have 4 wishes. The first is to assure me you'll love me for a long long time The 2nd, please understand my feelings The 3rd, whisper sweet nothings into my ear. The 4th, patiently be with me from morning till night. If you'll grant me my wishes, I'LL forever remember to madly, truly fall in love with you. Forever and ever, I'll be at your side. |
