Though official voting for inclusion on the TIME 100 list has now closed, with Mir-Hossein Mousavi having won the honor, users can continue to vote for their favorites until the list is revealed on Thursday, April 29th

In last year's election, the long-standing Liberal Democrats finally fell, and the Democratic Party of Japan took over with Hatoyama, a Stanford-trained engineer and multimillionaire, at the helm. Change was in the air, but six months after he took office, his government's approval rating has dropped significantly.
