MSn Dialup Accounts - Encarta Encylopedia Discontinued Effective Oct 31 2009

Fyi...even with broadband(cable, dsl, satellite)....there may still be a few dialup folks left...

Dear MSN? Dial-up subscriber,

We are writing to let you know that the Encarta service, available as part of your MSN Dial Up subscription, will be discontinued
effective October 31, 2009. Although Encarta has been the #1 encyclopedia software brand (in terms of sales) in the reference
category for nearly a decade, the Internet has changed the way people do research and has reduced the demand for information found
in traditional encyclopedias.

We do have some good news though! One of the most widely used resources within Encarta, the Encarta Dictionary, which includes
definitions, translations and the thesaurus will live on. It will remain accessible on the United States, United Kingdom, and
France Web sites after October 31, 2009.

Microsoft will continue to invest in education-focused solutions. We are currently evolving our education product offerings to meet
the changing needs of the education sector and do our part to help deliver quality education experiences for all. Our experience
with Encarta will certainly inform and strengthen our future educational software solutions.

MSN Dial Up subscribers will continue to enjoy free access to Encarta as part of their ongoing subscription through October 31,
2009 and other aspects of your Dial Up subscription are unaffected by this change.
