welcome

Palisades Park Public Library is a member of the BCCLS group of 75 public libraries in Bergen, Hudson, Passaic and Essex Counties, NJ. In our own library we have more than 57,000 items available for borrowing, and through the BCCLS system, we give access to more than 3 million items through the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS) and 10 million through OpenBorrowing of BCCLS, LMxAC, MAIN, PALS, Sussex County and Warren County. Go to BCCLS Catalog at www.bccls.org for access to entire BCCLS collection. For an Open Borrowing participating library see the list.

mission

The mission of the Palisades Park Public Library is to provide our public with insight to enrich mind and spirit, and encourage a lifetime love of learning.  We aim to inform, educate and enrich our community through inclusion of our diversities and commonalities.  The Library places special emphasis on guiding young people toward a love of reading and an awareness of books and other library materials as a means of satisfying their needs and interests.  The Library has a strong commitment to intellectual freedom and to freedom of access to information.

Can you hear their voices?

Can You Hear their Voices?  was a unique event at the Palisades Park Public Library.
It honored and raised funds for the Comfort Women at the House of Sharing in Korea who were sexually enslaved during World War II.  Below you will see clips from the event, as well as an impassioned talk by Dai Sil Kim-Gibson, author of the book Silence Broken, on the silent suffering of these women.
