A Gray Schist Relief with the Great Departure
Gandhara, 2nd/3rd century
Finely carved with Siddhartha at center departing on his horse Kanthaka, with numerous attendant figures, including his servant Chandaka to his left and Mara clutching an arrow to his right, with two yakshas supporting the hooves of Kanthaka below and a blossoming tree at left
