A gang of six men have been accused of raping four Toronto women over the course of several months. Three of those men are at large with a Canada-wide warrant out for their arrest.
Toronto, Canada - The victims of these brazen attacks met their rapists at a Korean community church in the Greater Toronto Area.
Late last month the Sex Crimes Unit began a sexual assault investigation concerning what is alleged to be gang sexual assaults on four women in Toronto that started in the fall of 2009 and ended in February 2010 after a very brave woman came forward about the attacks. The other three women who had been attacked came forward following the initial report.
One of the victims is underage. The victims in this case according to Detective Deborah Harper, Toronto Sex Crimes were repeatedly raped. Harper said that at this time the information being released is very limited.
Between March 11 and March 16 three men were arrested by the Sex Crimes Unit. The men face a total of 67 charges.
Hyung Jun Ha, 26, of Toronto, Jong Il Lee, 33, of Orangeville, and Sang Cheol Lee, 37, of Toronto. All three men have been charged with administering drugs for sex, threatening death, forcible confinement, assault and gang sexual assault. Hyung Jun Ha is also accused of making child pornography and assault. Sang Cheol Lee is also charged with making child pornography.
There have been Canada Wide warrants issued for Jin Hyun Kim, 33, of Toronto, Yoon Hyun Cho, 26, of Toronto and Jung Jay Lee, 26, of Toronto.
