@ae.rin: get a few shades lighter than that color, or else it won't show. Maybe a dark golden brown or medium brown? but I can't promise that that's the color. I It's really hard to say. I used something like a medium auburn color once and it made my hair a lighter shade of brown with a lot red tones. I think your best bet would be to go with palty since theyre made for asian hair but I believe they have bleach IN it, so its not like a separate process, or go to a salon.
The hair color posted also looks cooler in tone...I'd say dark blonde or light brown, but I'd say go with a cool or ash shade. The warm or golden shades will leave you with a lot of red in your hair, making your hair look redder/orange.

Hello soompiers~
I lost a major bet a couple weeks back... and I have to dye my hair pastel pink. Problem is, my hair is dark brown/black... I heard from friends that one has to "bleach" your hair and then use some sort of pink dye...
I also have to dye it jet black because i promised to :<
But I have no idea what everybody is talking about when they say this... bleach? dye? I have no idea where to begin...
Any help for a noob?
I seriously almost cried for you, but I saw your username...if you're a guy, that makes it so much easier on my mind.

You'll have to bleach almost all of the color out of your hair (ugh, think white) if you want your hair to look pastel pink, I think. Chances are good it'll be super damaging and your hair will feel like straw. But if your a guy with short hair, it'll grow out fast at least. I'm not even sure if you can get it light enough yourself (and not professionally).
Jet black is easy though. Just keep in mind that's like the color of no return. If you want that color out, you'll probably have to professionally strip it out (but as I said, if you're a guy, who really cares, your hair will grow out in like a month).

hi I have a question about dying hair extensions, if its ok to ask it here

I bought the Ion Permanent Creme Hair Color in Dark Golden Brown at Sally's and used it to dye my hair and clip in hair extensions that were black. My hair turned the right color but my extensions didn't...so now I have dark golden brown hair and black extensions.
I mixed the dye and developer, applied them onto my extensions and wrapped them in foil for about 45 minutes...is there something I did wrong? Help would be greatly appreciated

OH, and I used 30 volume developer

Bear with me because I have absolutely no extension experience. Are you hair extensions real hair (what poster above said), and have they been treated before? Are they, by any chance, a
dyed black color (not naturally black)? That would explain it also if so...color lifts much more easily off of virgin black hair than it does dyed black hair.

Would someone recommend or suggest a brand + colour hairdye that's similar to taeyeon's?

p.s my hair's black.
Light or medium ash blonde. I honestly don't think brands make too much difference, but my mom likes Loreal Excellence Cream and that's what I used last time. Leave it in longer than what the box says xD
Can't guarantee but I think that should get you pretty close.
