VIA VT1632 DVI Transmitter - A
high speed, integrated solution to enable the latest
display solutions. |
 |
As digital devices continue there spread into our homes,
cars, workplaces etc. new requirements for new display
solutions are demanding different display connections.
The VIA VT1632 DVI transmitter through Transition Minimized
Differential Signaling (TMDS) enables high speed connections
to the latest display solutions over distances not possible
with legacy solutions overcoming many issues such as noise
generation, power consumption, and noise immunity. Moreover
the VIA VT1632 DVI Transmitter enables a vast improvement
in the amount and quality of video data that can be transferred
between devices enabling higher resolutions, lower power
requirements, and universal connectivity.
The VIA VT1632 DVI transmitter is designed for compliance
with DVI Revision 1.0 (DVI is backwards compliant with
VESA P&D and DFP) and supports display solutions ranging
from VGA to UXGA resolutions (25 to 165Mpps) with a single
link interface. Three TMDS data channels send data at
up to 1.65Gbps per channel. The VIA VT1632 also supports
DVI's dual-link capability for data transfer rates up
to 330Mbps.
The VIA VT1632 has a highly flexible interface with either
a 12-bit mode (1/2 pixel per clock edge) or 24-bit mode
1 pixel per clock input for true color (16.7 Million)
support. In 24-bit mode, the VT1632 supports single or
dual edge clocking. The VIA VT1632 also supports dual
edge single clocking or single edge dual clocking in 12-bit
mode. Supporting receiver and Hot Plug Detection, the
VIA VT1632 can be programmed through an I2S interface. |
