What, exactly, is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache and what would happen if I deleted all of the values in it? Thanks

Of the 60,000 plus registry entries, why did you pick the entry questioned in your post to inquire about deleting, for what purpose and is this entry causing problems with your computer? I wouldn't recommend deleting any entry in the registry unless you know what you are doing. Your system could quit functioning altogether.

I don't think that anyone knows what that key actually does other than tracks all most all executables that seem to be ran on a system...What is known is that it is associated with groupings and registry keys are placed there from the OS from the shell (and not from the exe file that is normally done) as a type of storage and are then removed when not needed any more....ie. If you were using IE and had 8 tabs open then a registry key would appear there..when you close them down the key disappears also.
Basically it acts as a MRU but there have been no found linkings to when the reported program had been used...only that it was used
It is not associated with use by trojans or malware as a lot of people first thought as some malware has been seen there But the keys that are in there are not executable it is there only as a report.
I wouldn't want to delete them unless I was sure as to what they do.
