The goal of the Confederation Centre Art Gallery is to inspire appreciation, understanding and enjoyment of Canada's diverse cultural heritage by collecting, conserving, presenting, interpreting and communicating the work of Canadian visual artists.

With over 15,000 pieces in its permanent collection, the Confederation Centre Art Gallery is one of the largest in Atlantic Canada. Its six exhibition spaces feature contemporary and historical exhibitions year-round, as well as special events, public lectures, educational programming and more.

The gallery’s mandate recognizes the visual arts as an important path to self-discovery with the power to enhance and change the lives of Canadians.
