Elkhart Police are investigating four robberies in the last two days.
The most recent was a bank robbery around lunchtime Wednesday
Around 12:30 Wednesday, a white man with a scruffy gray beard robbed the 1st Source Bank on W. Lexington Ave. Police haven't said if he had a gun but he was driving a dark colored passenger car.
Low Bob's Discount Tobacco on Johnson St. was robbed around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the suspect is a black man who said he had a weapon. He’s about six-feet tall wearing a hoodie and glasses.
Around 11 p.m. Tuesday two black men in hoodies and sunglasses said they were armed as they robbed the Yoder Truck Stop on Kent St.
The Check Into Cash on Cassopolis St. was robbed around 6 p.m. Tuesday, also by two black men in hoodies and sunglasses who said they were armed.
In all of the cases, there was only one employee working at the time. Police say single employee businesses tend to be targets.
Police got a call from someone Wednesday saying they found the money on the ground in front of their home. It wasn't a lot of money, and in all the cases, there wasn't a very large amount of money stolen.
Police are trying to figure out if any or all of these robberies are related. If you have any information call Elkhart Police at 295-7070.
