Traditional Pen The design of a conventional pen requires most people to grip the pen tightly, as shown in FIG. 1, 2, 3, 4. The tight grip used by most leads cause writing strain, cramping in the hand (FIG. 4-N) and muscle fatigue (FIG 4-M) when writing for extended periods. Even with the use of a soft (FIG 2) or triangular grips (FIG 3) that are made to help ease the strain, the dynamics of the conventional grip increase tension leading to writing strain, muscle fatigue and cramping after a sustained period of writing.
