CIRCA 1735
Représenté debout, la tête tournée vers la gauche, près d'un rocher appliqué de fleurs en relief, à décor bleu, vert, jaune, rouge et manganèse dans le goût Kakiémon; la base en bronze doré de style rocaille formée de palmes et d'une frise d'oves; petites restaurations
Hauteur totale: 44 cm. (17¼ in); Hauteur du coq: 35,5 cm. (14 in.)

Chantilly a toujours été associé aux animaux, le domaine possédant depuis le début du XVIIIème siècle une superbe ménagerie composée d'animaux tous plus rares les uns que les autres, dont s'inspiraient les porcelainiers. Outre les animaux exotiques, des pièces représentant des animaux plus courant furent produites, tel le gibier abondant de la forêt du domaine, non pas traité de manière naturelle, mais plutôt avec des couleurs fantaisistes, comme en témoigne notre coq.
