Are Maotas ruining the FSU?
From time to time, there are so threads targeting a certain skater, mostly Kim, with obnoxious titles that have nothing to do with skating.
Japanese users take up more than 40% of the total site users so no wonder Maotas are also very active in the site. So sad. |

I'm glad this subject came up...not because I notice it here, but because every single time I try to get a youtube vid of a certain skater, anyone who's currently competing, what comes up is barrage of nasty, inaccurate ridiculous-ness re: Yu-Na vs. Japanese skaters. Sometimes is just Korea vs. Japan stuff, with both sides being stupid. You know, if a few idiots hate people for no reason at all, that's fine. A shame, of course, and again, very-extremely-dumb, but why do they have to spread it around?
I've watched a few, out of curiosity but no more, and now they just get in the way of what I really want to watch. They flag the vids with the name of every current elite skater (yeah, Johnny Weir really has alot to do with impeding Yu-Na's warm-up). It's just, so, awful. And the Olympics are coming. I can't imagine the nastiness about to take place. I know it's just a few losers....but it bugs me alot. I suppose this is off topic. I actually tried to look up the work "Maota" before I realized what it meant! |

There is a lot of discussion on these sort of topics, but I can't see it ruining FSU. The crackpots always seem to get put in their place eventually.
Still the initial poster's comments are really not appropriate.
