Hyderabad
Nov. 3: E2 Labs, India’s first ethical hacking school, is now being accused of unethical practices.
The city-based institution and the Internet Security Observatory of Italy Zone- H are at loggerheads over alleged irregularities in training.
Zone-H has alleged that E2 Labs was involved in a training scam but the city institute strongly denied the allegations and said that the remarks are defamatory. It also said it has severed ties with Zone-H.
Mr Robert Preatoni, the founder of Zone-H, said in a post on its website that only one seminar had been held in Hyderabad since 2007 when an agreement was signed with E2 Labs.
“E2-Labs is currently selling security training using our image, logos, material to students without permission,” he said. “We are getting e-mails from enraged students who attended the course and never got a certificate.” Mr Preatoni said the E2 Labs had named one Eyal Dotan as Zone-H teacher. “But we don’t know who this guy is,” said the Zone-H founder.
However, Mr Zaki Qureshey, founder of E2-Labs, said that the allegations were false and baseless. He added that Zone-H did not sign the certificates despite being paid the assured sum.
“When we asked about the signature, Robert assured that he will be coming to India soon to sign them but never turned up,” said Mr Qureshey.

E2 Labs can say what they want, but we all see billboards around Hyderabad having Preatoni's face on them and without reference to Zone-H. A clear exploitation of his image.
